Get picked up in the morning from your hotel in Santiago (includes the districts of Vitacura, Las Condes, Providencia, or the city center), traveling aboard an air-conditioned van along Chile’s Route 68.
You’ll first cross the Curacavi Valley, a key agricultural region, and soon reach the Casablanca Valley for a wine-themed exploration. Stop by an organic winery to learn about production, and then make a second stop for a tasting accompanied by cookies, olives and crackers.
After your wine tasting, continue heading south toward Valparaiso, a UNESCO World Heritage city that’s known for its colorful array of historic houses and scenic location along the Pacific Ocean. Visit “La Sebastiana,” once the residence of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, and then have time to check out five other landmarks including Plaza Sotomayor, the Valparaiso Lighthouse, Paseo Yugoslavo, “7 Esquinas,” and the “Paseo 21 de Mayo.”
Leave Valparaiso and continue to Viña del Mar, another scenic seaside city known for its famous “Clock of Flowers.” You’ll also have time for lunch (own expense) and to enjoy the views of the area’s sun-kissed beaches and picturesque parks. When you leave Viña del Mar you’ll also pass through Las Palmas, a hilly area known for its palm trees. You’ll be returned to your hotel at the end of the trip.
Please note: Guests can also select an optional upgrade featuring an additional wine tasting stop at a top Chilean winery.
