What You Can Expect

Santorini Caldera Cruise Including Buffet and Drinks

Relax on this luxury catamaran cruise around Santorini

Select a morning or sunset cruise when you book. Then, on the day, depart your Santorini hotel by air-conditioned minivan and travel to the jetty for your 5-hour cruise.

Meet your professional skipper and crew, and find a comfortable spot on the deluxe modern catamaran. Then, sit back and admire Santorini’s caldera and sugar-cube clifftop houses as your vessel pulls away from dock. Relax and enjoy the sea breezes, and take snaps of the views as your catamaran cuts through the waves of the Aegean Sea. As you sail, enjoy the unlimited Santorini wine, Greek beers or sodas available from the onboard bar.

After a short sail across the south part of the island, stop at the Red Beach. Pause here and enjoy time to swim, snorkel or simply sunbathe on the decks. Then, drop anchor at the hot springs beside Nea Kameni, Santorini’s ancient volcano. Step ashore and submerge yourself in the warm pools, whose waters are thought to have medicinal powers that help alleviate skin and bone conditions.

Back aboard, cruise along the coast to Santorini’s southern beaches. Head for the White Beach, and, if you wish, leave the boat to swim in the crystal waters. If you fancy checking out the undersea life, use the supplied snorkeling equipment and set off in search of colorful fish and other underwater sights.

Afterward, return to deck for a delicious lunch or dinner, depending on the cruise time you’ve chosen. Dig into an enticing selection of pork and grilled chicken, Greek salad, pasta salad, fresh bread and fruit.

Roughly 30 minutes later, start out on your return journey. If you’ve chosen the sunset cruise, soak up the sight of one of Santorini’s magical sunsets. Snap pictures or just enjoy the moment as the sun sinks below the horizon in a blaze of orange, gold and pink.

Lastly, dock back at the jetty and finish your tour with a hotel drop-off.

Please note: the stop at the Red and/or White Beach may be changed to a different beach, depending on your experienced catamaran skipper’s judgement of weather and sea conditions on the day of your cruise. In every swimming stop opportunity, the catamaran boat anchors off the beaches in deep waters as the vessel is not able to dock on the actual beaches in shallow waters.

This excursion was second to none! Beautiful ship, excellent staff, delicious food and drinks, and gorgeous scenery during our sunset cruise. Even though I was a little seasick from the waves, I still had a great time!! Everything from pickup to drop-off was top notch!!

If you're planning on taking a cruise while in Santorini, then this is the one!

We sailed on Aug 22, 2017. The ship was a catamaran operated by Spiridakos Sailing Cruises with a crew of 3 Mohamed, Stathis, and Violeta. The passengers consisted of 12 adults and 1 child.

Swimming stops: We had 3 swimming stops, 2 of which were absolutely beautiful, the water was clean, clear, and warm.

Food and Drinks: For dinner, we were served grilled chicken breasts, shrimp, Greek salad, spaghetti, and bread. The food was cooked aboard the ship by the crew while the passengers swam. The beverage selection consisted of water, soda, local wine, and Hellas Beer.

Sunset cruise: This portion of the cruise was absolutely phenomenal. Viewing the sun setting on a ship in the Aegean...you just can't beat that. The view was absolutely beautiful in my opinion, it even tops the sunset view from Oia.

The crew: They were the best! 2nd best part of this cruise, 2nd only to the sunset . Mo Mohamed and Stathis knew all the good angles from which to take pics during the sunset and were super kind despite the fact that I kept addressing Stathis as Stathos. Violeta made sure the cabin was clean at all times and that none of us were thirsty at any point. They truly were professional, hospitable, courteous, and friendly.

Size of the ship: A friend of mine had booked the pirate ship cruise on the same day. His wife had mentioned that while there was plenty of space for everyone, there were only so many good camera angles to take pics and that 2 women kept hogging the good angles. NOT a problem on the catamaran. With only 12 passengers, there was plenty of time for everyone to take all the pics they wanted.

I'd give this cruise more stars if I could, but I guess the only thing I can do is sign up for this trip again next time I'm in Santorini.

Efcharisto to the wonderful crew!
