The adventures begin late morning with pickup near many island hotels. Head first to the renowned archaeological site of Akrotiri, considered the best-preserved Minoan ruins outside of Crete (entrance fees not included). Learn about the Bronze Age civilization that thrived here between 3000 and 1500 BC as you explore remnants of an ancient city preserved in ash from the eruption of Mt Thera.
Continue on to Perissa Beach, where you can swim and sun on the striking black sand and enjoy lunch nearby (own expense) during nearly 2 hours of leisure time. Next, get a glimpse of traditional Greek village life as you walk with your guide through the quaint and quiet streets of Megalochori. Climb back aboard the bus for a ride up to the 18th-century Prophet Elias Monastery, situated on the highest point of the island. Although the monastery itself is now closed to visitors, you can still admire sweeping views and snap photos from the church yard.
In the evening, relax over tastings of Santorini’s unique volcanic varietals and enjoy a picturesque view of terraced vineyards at Santo Wines, one of the island’s largest and most modern estates (tasting fee included). Finally, cap off the day with a visit to Oia village, considered one of the most photogenic places on Earth. Stroll through the narrow streets, browse local boutiques, and catch a spectacular sunset over the caldera before the 9-hour tour concludes with drop-off back at your departure point.

We only had 2 full days in Santorini. We booked this tour so that we could see as much as possible while in Santorini. Katie was our guide and she was great! She was professional, funny and knowledgeable. Gave us a detailed tour of each place, answered questions and also gave us some free time. Did not feel rushed at all! The bus was very comfortable and clean.

Lack of organization, constantly waiting, tour guide left in the middle of tour and returned at the end, boring, meeting piint instructions not explained well-lacking pertinent information.

Akrotiri archeological site was the only place I felt was worth going and the tour lady seemed very passionate about it, after that the beach and lunch that is not included, we then stopped to a village with nothing interesting to see, wine tasting at santos has amazing views and nice store but we were too rush we stayed there 15 min in total then we had to be on the bus again, after that we had no guide she left and we still had to go to oía for the sun set. It’s a long 9 hours tour just be prepare.

This tour was a hot mess. The driver and guide were good. It started with a 2 hour visit to a dusty, indoor "Archaeological Museum of Thera" where we were required to pay 12 Euro admissions. We got congested from all the dust and had to wait outside for most of the 2 hours. Then we were tken to lunch at the guide's restaurant, which was OK. People who wanted to go swimming had little time for that. After visiting a tiny, undistinguished little town, we were taken to a winery where there was no time, after tasting, to shop for wine and other items. Finally, we were taken to Ia, the only pretty place in Santorini, just before sunset when the town was mobbed with tour buses and people. It was near impossible to find our bus in the congested parking lot at the end. Viator never said we would have to pay other admissions, go to a beach, etc. This was a hot mess.

This was our first trip to Greece. Santorini is a beautiful island and we were anxious to see as much of it as we could see. Our guide, KATIE, was excellent! She was so knowledgeable and friendly. We could not have had a better guide. We thoroughly enjoyed this all day adventure and would recommend it highly to anyone who visits Santorini.

It was a good tour we were able to see everything and than decide where we wanted to go, however the bus could have been cleaner from inside. Some of the seats were ripped.

We had an amazing tour with Brian. He knows so much about the island and everyone knows him no matter where we went. He took us to some really great places and we had a lovely day.

This is really an all in one kinda day. If you have limited time on the island 1-3 days, this is really a good first day activity. They keep you moving all day long, sometimes very brief visits at places mostly okay for me. The sunset in Oia is pretty. Dont delay finding your viewpoint in Oia, however. From the bus, I recommend moving quickly to the viewing areas and camp out to wait for it. Everyone else does that, so if you dont, you wont get a good spot.
Its best to wear your swimsuit from the start of the day if you plan to swim at the beach. There is a changing stall afterwards.

We took this tour on our first day on Santorini. It was a great introduction to the island, with archaeology, sightseeing and wine tasting! Our guide Katie was knowledgeable and hilarious and made the day truly memorable.

Our guide I don't remember his name was knowledgeable and amusing in his explanation of Santorini. The only negative things were that it was a big bus tour, which I am not a fan of although it wasn't full so there was plenty of space to spread out so it wasn't bad, and our bus was kind of old so it was really loud and rattled a lot at the back and the a/c dripped on us we were traveling with a toddler so the last seat was best to sit 3 across so we didn't move forward. Tip: bring dramamine if you are prone to motion sickness. We were picked up on time and visited the best sites of Santorini. We went to the highest point at a monastery for a great picturesque view, visited the AMAZING site of Akrotiri ruins from 17th century BC, stopped at a black beach for lunch I recommend the restaurant they tell you about-very fresh fish, visited a beautiful traditional Greek village, Santo Winery for a short tasting of wines, and then to Oia for a couple of hours to view the sunset. This tour is well worth the money spent to see it all in a day. The restaurant was excellent but since they were quite busy, there was only time for lunch and not really time to swim that was fine with us. Akrotiri was really a highlight for us, it was an amazing site. Oia is busy at sunset but we found a restaurant with a nice sunset view for appetizers and a drink so that we avoided the masses. It was a long day but there are plenty of breaks and time off of the bus so it didn't feel like it was too long. Santo wines were definitely not the best wines we tried on the island but the view was stunning. For a lovely wine tasting experience of excellent wines, I'd recommend a tour on your own via taxi to Gaia Winery.
