Learn from your Hokkaido ‘Mom’ how to make the perfect soba noodles, with just the right amount of chewiness, with this cooking class. Starting from scratch, you’ll blend two kinds of buckwheat, a method that enhances the flavor and nutty aroma of the noodles.
A large group of 8 people did this tour together. We travelled to the location in Chitose in 2 taxis which was very comfortable. The course was great. Despite the language barrier we got along fine and made some great soba noodles under the instruction of our 2 soba chefs. Later the family cooked them up for us and we sat around the kitchen table and demolished the noodles in their delicious broth. I thoroughly recommend this tour. We all enjoyed it immensely. Thank you to our great taxi drivers that served as our translators and to the soba instructors and their helpers. What a wonderful memory!
