What You Can Expect

Food and Cultural Walking Tour of Pike Place Market

Watch Out for Flying Fish!

This is Seattle’s original food and cultural tour of Pike Place Market. It’s a place to meet the farmers, butchers, bakers, winemakers and all those who bring their bounty to this nine-acre table day in and day out.

The market also features one of the largest craft markets in the country, featuring all locally made, handcrafted goods. There are over 225 small, independent businesses and a diverse selection of restaurants here.

Also included on this tour is a repeat visitor card, good for a 10% discount at all of the locations where you will have tastings, valid for up to 1 week after the tour. And because it can get rather loud, personal audio devices are provided so you can hear the guide clearly.

Interesting tour with a lot of history about the market. Food samples were all very good and plenty for a late morning brunch. We took the 10:00 am tour and were finished a little after noon. Kylee, our tour guide was excellent/1

Justin is a fun and knowledgeable guide. He knew everyone's name about 12 of us! and was personally interested in providing us with a great experience. He is passionate about the Market and its mission. Very educational about the history of the market and the vendors. Great tastings. One thing that may be helpful...eliminate the have a light meal before you go on this tour. We did, and were too full to enjoy all the tastings. Thanks.

Our tour guide was excellent! She was a fabulous teacher and her enthusiasm was infectious. Her historical knowledge of the Pike Place Mart, her culinary knowledge and her personal relationships with the vendors coupled with the ability to teach as a trained teacher and maintain a captive audience deserves an A plus grade. The tour's suggestion to eat something beforehand is unnecessary. There was enough food tastings on the tour to equal at least 1-2 meals.
