What You Can Expect

Food and Cultural Walking Tour of Pike Place Market

Watch Out for Flying Fish!

This is Seattle’s original food and cultural tour of Pike Place Market. It’s a place to meet the farmers, butchers, bakers, winemakers and all those who bring their bounty to this nine-acre table day in and day out.

The market also features one of the largest craft markets in the country, featuring all locally made, handcrafted goods. There are over 225 small, independent businesses and a diverse selection of restaurants here.

Also included on this tour is a repeat visitor card, good for a 10% discount at all of the locations where you will have tastings, valid for up to 1 week after the tour. And because it can get rather loud, personal audio devices are provided so you can hear the guide clearly.

Itinerary

The Pike Place Market Food and Cultural Walking Tour includes delicious tastings from (subject to change without notice):

  • Alderwood smoked salmon

This was well worth the money. Not only were all of the foods we sampled delicious, the tour was both educational and entertaining. We loved Judson! One of the best parts of this tour is that you get to skip some of the lines that could have been over an hour.

The tour was very informative. Taylor, our guide, was enthusiastic and had everything well timed. And our food samples were fabulous! We learned a lot and had a great time doing so.

Our guide Justin was marvelous and had thought of every detail about working a group successfully with laughter! Every shop we went to was delicious and had history that we learned about! Many shops will be repeat tastings for us! Kathy, Tulsa OK

This was a fun and interesting tour. Without our guide we would have found the market overwhelming but doing the tour gave us a great insight and the opportunity to taste great food.

The information we got before the tour suggested having a light lunch before the tour. I would suggest waiting until after the tour. If you are still hungry, you will know which shop to return to

Loved it!!! Never felt so full on a walking tour. A taste of Pike Place Market was interesting with facts about the history of the Market that I never knew. Fantastic tour guide. Great food and drinks. We even went back the next day and ordered our own portions from the vendors. We had to get more than just a taste. So much fun. Would definitely recommend it to others. We had locals on the tour who also commented that they were impressed with the historic accuracy of the facts told by the tour guide.
