Mt Rainier Day Tour from Seattle

Mt Rainier Day Tour from Seattle

This Mt Rainier day trip begins with a convenient hotel pickup in the downtown Seattle, SeaTac, Tukwila and Renton areas on a 24-passenger mini coach. Then prepare for a narrated, scenic drive to the foothills of Mt Rainier National Park.

Stop at Longmire, the visitor center at the southwest corner of the park, to explore their museum and National Park Inn. Purchase lunch at the world-renowned Whittaker School of Mountaineering and watch a 30-minute slide show, presented by a Mt Rainier guide.

Visit Christine Falls, with one of the signature views in Mt Rainier National Park (look for the bridge). Walk along the Nisqually River up to Narada Falls, considered the most popular waterfall in Mt Rainier State Park. It’s taller than Niagara Falls at 188 feet. And enjoy Paradise, famous for its beautiful views and wildflower meadows some 5,400 feet above sea level.

Then it’s back down the mountain to take a return trip, with a new view, to Seattle.

Our tour guide, Chris, was phenomenal. He was informative, funny, in control of his tour. The stops we made were beautiful. I'd do this trip again and again.

Chris was our tour guide and he is super knowledgeable and highly humorous. He keeps all of us entertained and is very informative without being boring. He has good recommendations on which trails within Mt Rainier that we should take. Mt Rainier itself is very surreal for a city person like myself. The hiking part is tough but worth the sights. Be prepared for some cold weather, even in summer, and get ready for some hiking and workout in order for you to get to the places that are worth the views.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. The weather was superb and our guide, Wesley, was very knowledgable and funny. It was arranged so those who wanted to hike could, while those who were physicially unable to still had gorgeous views, amp,e photo opportunities and alternate activity choices museums, ranger talks, etc.
