Mt Rainier Day Tour from Seattle

Mt Rainier Day Tour from Seattle

This Mt Rainier day trip begins with a convenient hotel pickup in the downtown Seattle, SeaTac, Tukwila and Renton areas on a 24-passenger mini coach. Then prepare for a narrated, scenic drive to the foothills of Mt Rainier National Park.

Stop at Longmire, the visitor center at the southwest corner of the park, to explore their museum and National Park Inn. Purchase lunch at the world-renowned Whittaker School of Mountaineering and watch a 30-minute slide show, presented by a Mt Rainier guide.

Visit Christine Falls, with one of the signature views in Mt Rainier National Park (look for the bridge). Walk along the Nisqually River up to Narada Falls, considered the most popular waterfall in Mt Rainier State Park. It’s taller than Niagara Falls at 188 feet. And enjoy Paradise, famous for its beautiful views and wildflower meadows some 5,400 feet above sea level.

Then it’s back down the mountain to take a return trip, with a new view, to Seattle.

This tour was the most absolute highlight of our trip! My boyfriend and I enjoyed Paradise as it was the last stop at the top. We enjoyed every single moment of the tour and we couldn't have wanted it better without our tour guide Chris! He was the best tour guide that anyone could ask for! He also mentioned that we were the lucky ones during the tour because during that day, up in Paradise it was clear and the view was phenomenal and easy to see the other mountains and the cascades!

I would recommend this tour to anyone. So great, so fun, and the Huckleberry Ice Cream at the end hits the spot after a long tour up in Paradise.

Bryan was our tour guide and driver and he was very knowledgable. We could not see the mountain once we got to Paridise but once we went done the other side we had a great view of the mountain. This is a 10 hour tour and Bryan stopped for food and bathroom breaks.

Our trip was great! Our tour guide Chris was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable of the history and facts of the mountain, surrounding areas, weather patterns, and more. He showed us some great places to see and eat on the way up and back to Paradise. We would highly recommend this tour and Chris to anyone who wants to see and learn about Mt Rainier.

I was skeptical about all the 5 star ratings for this tour on the site but it definitely lived up to the reviews! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about... well everything! He told us about trees and other plants, animals, the mountaineering history, and even the history of several of the stops we took like Wapiti Woolies. Definitely worth the trip if you get the right weather for this.

Brian was an excellent tour guide. He strived to relay information about the area, and was very helpful. I usually don't review these trips but I give this day trip an A. We viewed mount Rainier in different positions, water falls with rainbows, beautiful landscapes, reflections, hiked and picnicked . A wonderful experience.
