A great way to begin to learn about and experience the Sedona landscape. Our driver, Joe, picked us up at the hotel and the Soldier Pass turnoff is quite close to the city center. There were only the two of use and Joe which made for a more personal experience. Red Rock Jeep Tours is the only commercial tour group allowed on that trail, but we met one other RRJT group and several sets of vehicles driven by others on the trail. One can also hike along the trails. Saw the juniper tree that was the model for the tree in Disney's Fantasia, the seven sacred pools, and the Devil's Sinkhole. Joe was an informative guide, touching on geology, history, flora and fauna of the area in a manner appropriate for first-timers. We were able to get out of the jeep several times to walk about and see the various sites, which was pleasing. The ride can jostle a person, particularly if you are in the rear seat, but seat belts keep you secure and the driver keeps a slow pace, one that allows you to feel the off-road bumps, tilts, and inclines but without any distress. Well worth the price.
We had a wonderful time with Sid, our guide. He was knowledgable about the area, friendly, and gave us a fantastic Jeep trip through Soldier Pass. I highly recommend this tour.
Very fun! Lil Deb was experienced and knowledgeable about the area. We highly recommend taking this tour!
My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful time. Dan was our driver. This man was incredibly intelligent. I have never met an individual so knowledgeable about both the history of the area as well as the geology. We went up and down places I didn't know that we could go. This was a great time and I highly recommend it to everyone.
This excursion was a rollicking journey over rocky trails with many seemingly challenging up and down hill portions. Fortunately our guide and the sturdy jeep took on these obstacles flawlessly and with many cheers.
We enjoyed the commentary and have a far greater appreciation of desert challenges, beauty and survival.
Fun tour! Our guide, Joe, was extremely knowledgeable of the Indian history and made our tour exceptional. A must see tour in Sedona.
Well worth the price. We could have driven there on our own, but it is much safer with a guide and our guide, Sid, made the trip more worth while with his knowledge of the area and its history. Great job Sid!
This was so much fun. The guide was great, personable and lots of fun. He was very smart in asking if anyone had issues with vertigo or motion sickness. Since I am very prone to motion sickness I had been worried about this bumpy ride. He was very kind and put me in the front seat which took care of the problem. The views were spectacular, the informative information he shared was interesting and the ride was so much fun. I recommend this tour over any other in Sedona as they go into the park and others can't. It was great.
We were late but they still took us on our tour. Mary, our guide, was awesome and was well informed. She made the tour a lot of fun.
This was an awesome tour and experience.
Our guide was knowledgeable and gave us good historical info about the area as well as the wildlife and plant life and other local topics of interest.
Highly recommend doing this while in Sedona.
Our guide Joe was very knowledgeable and fun. I liked that there were no set stops on this tour, unlike the jeep tours so it was up to the group when and where we wanted to stop for pictures and to get out and explore. I would recommend this tour for first time visitors to Sedona and to those wanting a bumpy, fun ride through some beautiful scenery.
Sid was an excellent guide! We had a lot of fun and got a history lesson at the same time.
Tumbleweed Tom was terrific!! He educated us on the environment and the people that inhabited this land. He also kept us safe as he took us to piano rock / sinkhole and other formations. We highly recommend this tour.
Guide was terrific. Maybe advertise very safe....No scary moments. My wife loved it , but was nervous at the beginning. Most enjoyable.
It was a great tour. We'll experiences guide that was just fun to be around, his sense of humor made the trip that much more fun
This was fantastic...and Mark was very knowledgeable and showed us a great time.
We loved our jeep tour! We learned so much about the history and about the land. Our tour guide Bobby was so personable you felt like you already know him. The information he provided about various things was both educational and humorous. We didn't feel rushed, but really feel like he took the time to show us all there was to see. Amazing views, beautiful plants, and historical sites. So worth the trip.
Had a great time and our driver, Pete, was an excellent four-wheel driver over boulders and steep terrain. He was also very knowledgable about the area history.
Certainly a beautiful tour but, being a long time Sedona hiker, expected the route to go deeper into wilderness than on foot. That didn and #39;t happen.
However, great guide and 1st class equipment and a good way to be introduced into the redrock countryside.
Our driver was great, he knew everything and the views were beautiful. a great tour.
