Experience Seoul: Korean Intermediate Cooking Class

Korean Barbecue

At a modern cooking school in central Seoul, meet and greet the chef in charge of this culinary class. This intermediate-level session is designed for those who are beyond beginners in the kitchen and are confident about their cooking skills — desiring to learn how to prepare more complex Korean fare. The chef is able to tailor the instruction for beginners, however, as needed.

Discover the ingredients and flavors of Korean cuisine and learn more about the traditional dishes about to be prepared. After a safety briefing, watch a cooking demonstration as a quick introduction to the session, then prepare the meal under the supervision of the chef. A Korean barbecue is planned on Mondays (dinner) and Fridays (dinner). The vegetarian cuisine will be prepared on Wednesdays (dinner).

The Korean barbecue includes a seasonal salad with a dipping sauce, plus marinated, grilled and braised chicken, pork and beef. The vegetarian meal includes vegetable stew, vegan kimchi with cucumber or cabbage and mountain vegetables, wild greens or root vegetables.

When the food is ready, sit down and enjoy the results along with rice and tea.
