This tour gave us a very thorough understanding of Seoul's Gyeongbokgung palace and very interesting architectural knowledge of old Seoul city. His knowledge of Seoul was very thorough and his love of the city really shined through as he not only gave us in depth information regarding the city and the palace, but he was very in tune with great photographic opportunities of Seoul.
I would very much consider doing another tour with them if not in Seoul but other locations on a very likely 2nd visit to Korea.
Tour Guide, Ben Kim, was outstanding. He tailored the tour to our teen/preteen sons' interests. It was a very hot August day but Ben knew exactly the spots to duck into to cool off. The changing of the palace guard schedule changes often and Ben knew exactly when we had to be there to see it. Amazing performance. Very enjoyable and well worth the money. Thumbs up!
My husband and I were the only ones on the tour. Ben our guide was attentive and knowledgeable, tailored this tour to our interests. Highly recommend this tour. We enjoyed the historical and current take of this country, a real eye opener for Aussies!
Great!! Actually I didn't expect to see all about the over 600-year-city on the 3 hour walking tour, and also the tour itinerary it looked that it that. However, it was good enough to taste some of them in the limited time. I really enjoyed the time with others. The tour was both entertaining and informative, especially the tour guide would give more information about the country and the people living there. We would have another hour in the Bukchon which is one of the most famous tourist attractions with its endless sidewalks. Instead, 2 of us could catch up an airport limousine in order to meet their plane. A very well organized tour by the experienced tour guide, thanks!
It's a long but stimulating walking tour. Our guide Ben was an excellent guide - articulate, patient and kind. This was my second tour of the Palace and Bukchon but I learned things that I didn't the first time. The route took us to some interesting nooks and corners that were not apparent before. Well worth it.
Our tour guide ben was very informative and detail oriented. My son and I enjoyed the walking tour through the palace and bukckon area very much and Ben made the tour interesting and fun.
This walking tour was a great start to explore in Seoul, and the guide Ben K ensured that I could have fun and learn history of Korea at the same time. Ben was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about Korean history and culture, and he was the excellent guide whom I truly enjoyed touring with. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is new to Korea. Ben Thank you for your outstanding service!!!
This tour is very convenient if you are new to the korean culture and you want to know a little bit more about it. The guide, Ben Kim, was very knowledgeable and he explained to us the history of the places we visited, as well as some curiosities. He could answer our questions and was a very nice person. Also, we were already been in a place that was included in the tour, so he changed the schedule and brought us to a place we've never been to!
I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in the background of this city, it is very interesting!
A memorable way to start my three days visit to Seoul, taking pictures of the beautiful sights and
with guide Mr Ben Kim's excellent English and full knowledge of the places visited.
So happy to have taken many pìctures of this fantastic first tour!

The tour was fantastic and within the short few hours, it provided us with a good foundation on the sights that we have seen. Our tour guide Ben was really knowledgeable, providing lots of insights and historical facts. He was enthusiastic throughout the duration of the tour and extended it well beyond the stipulated hours. Kiddos to him for being so passionate! If you have time for only 1 tour in Korea, please don't hesitate to pick this!!
I had a great time with a guide Ben and other travelers.
Visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace was a good opportunity for me to know about Joseon Dynasty history and
palace's structure. Also walking along the Bukchon Hanok Village with wonderful weather reminds me of old memories.
Wonderful tour! Ben is a very knowledgeable guide - well versed in history, architecture, and politics of the region. The walk through the Village was especially interesting - Ben knew a lot of picturesque spots that I wouldn't have found otherwise. Great way to spend an afternoon - highly recommend.
My daughter and I took this tour two days after we arrived in South Korea. The tour guide, Ben Kim, lead us through the Gyeongbokgung Palace, the Bukchon Hanok Village, the National Folklore Museum and many other spots along the way. Ben is very knowledgeable about Korean culture, history and architecture and the time spent with him on the tour gave us an excellent foundation to understanding and appreciating this amazing country. Besides being an expert guide, Ben was very friendly and spoke excellent English. I highly recommend this half-day walking tour.
Although I have taken this tour with another tour company during a prior trip to Seoul, my experience on this trip was superior in every way with the tour guide Ben Kim who I found on Viator. First that he offers a one person tour at a reasonable price. Second that he was well-organized and provided wonderful insights about each aspect of the Palace history and buildings as well as the history of Korea and Seoul during the entire tour. Third and lastly that he was both patient with photo taking and being open to my questions as the tour progressed. Thank you for such a wonderful tour. I hope other travelers are as lucky as I am to get you as a tour guide when visiting Seoul.
This tour is a good introduction for some of the main attractions Seoul has to offer. Our guide, Ben, was friendly and his commentary was very informative. I would recommend this tour to anyone that is going to Seoul for the first time!
What went right. I was given the incorrect directions as to where to meet the tour group. I was told, city hall subway station, exit 5, no one showed up. Turns out, that was the wrong subway station for the wrong palace. So I ended up walking on my own until I was limping! How can a tour group give the wrong directions???
