This tour is a very good introduction to the highlights of the city , especially for the first time visitor. you get to see a Buddist temple, then go for a detailed walking tour of the palace there is a lot to see here!. On the way out, you get to see the Blue House, home to the President of South Korea. Then you stop by the ginsing factory, where you learn about this famous Korean product, with the opportunity to purchase if you wish.
ANNIE, WAS AN EXCELLENT GUIDE FOR THIS TOUR. SHE WALKS FAST SO SO HAVE TO KEEP UP !
The tour was one of the highlights of our Seoul holiday. I recommend it to anyone going to Seoul. We did it on the first day there and it gave us a good insight into Seoul. It was well organised and the guide was knowledgeable and pleasant.
The tour guide was great! She spoke fluent english and was quite informative about the history and culture! She was also able to answer any questions I had!!! It was great!
I enjoy the tour as i was locally picked and drop off close to my place of stay. Tourist guide is knowledgeable. The weather is scorching hot so it just made us tired easily and want to finish it soon. Overall, would recommend it to a friend.
Lots of walking but the day weather was fantastic! Our guide was pleasant, spoke great English and added a lot of humor to her descriptions.
If you only have a few hours to spend in Seoul but want to come away with a sampling of the cultural experience of South Korea, I recommend this tour highly. The only 'touristy' part was the last stop at the ginseng factory, however, it was only a small part of the tour. The tour guide was a delight and more than patient to answer questions.
The guide was fabulous. I turned out to be the only person on the English speaking guided tour and Cindy the guide was informative, helpful and just wonderful company. I highly recommend it - lots of fun!
Very friendly and funny tour guide Wendy, comfortable coach, and great sights! The only downside was the visit to the amethyst center as the sales people there were quite pushy and expected us to purchase jewelry...but this center is owned by the government, so it's probably required for tour companies to make a visit here. All in all the entire tour was great.
We learned a great deal about the history of Seoul by our great guide during this very informative morning tour that included a visit to the palace to see the changing of the guard. My only regret is that we did not take more tours that included the many palaces of Seoul.
The tour was good. We visited the places as listed in the description. We didn't manage to see the Changing of Guards ceremony due to an event at the Palace. However it was not communicated until we were there and there was no other activity arranged to make up the miss. As the tour only took about 3 hours, we felt a bit rushed through. If you are on budget or have very little time in Seoul, this tour can be for you.
This tour was a great introduction to Seoul. The changing of the guard and the fortress were amazing. Our guide was friendly and informative, though I think the group was a bit large and made for a bit of people wrangling at time. The ginseng centre at the end of the tour, however, was too much like a real life infomercial for my liking.
This was a very useful tour for seeing the sights of Seoul. You always want to visit temples and palaces when you have limited time in a country. This tour was excellent for that. Our leader made sure we got to the palace for the changing of the guard which was a great spectacle. We had the right amount of time allocated for each sight with no unnecessary hanging about which can sometimes be the case.
The only issue was the usual call in at a place to purchase something - in our case it was a ginseng retail outlet. There was quite a hard sell for the ginseng but we managed to hold out.
Other than that, I would still take the tour as it was very good.
Though it was very hot and humid in Seoul, tour worth taking. Well planned but in detail. the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and spoke very good English.
The pick up location was convenient as well as the final drop off location. A friend was to meet us after the tour and the subway exit was perfect as well as the timing. The tour itself was interesting and we enjoyed our tour guide Erika. She was very knowledgeable in the places we visited and was able to answer questions from the group about Korea in general. My only comment was timing at certain locations were too short. There was much to see in such a short time.
The tour was great. The guide had very good English and was very knowledgeable. The last part of the tour was a trip to the Ginseng Centre where a young woman tried her hardest to sell us very expensive ginseng products. I would have preferred to see another cultural attraction.
Great, concise, yet thorough coverage of main spots. A must for short trips. Minus one star because the promotional push of this tour to be expected most tours work with someone selling something - and thus mandate that the tour participants go to that selling venue was BEYOND anything I ever have seen before. Forty minutes - ginseng factory. Required informational sessions, strict processional through multiple shops, and pushy selling. I attempted to say No thank you and exit the building. This did not go over well at all. It was too bad, because the rest of the morning was great...
The tour provided a good introduction to Seoul and its cultural sites. I liked that we moved pretty quickly from one place to the next, though would have appreciated a bit more information on each location.
Great tour, learned some really neat things about the place I was staying for work. Perfect length for me. Ran from about 8-12pm. Included a palace, a Buddhist temple, and we also walked by the Blue House. Tour guide was awesome, fun, and very knowledgable. Can't wait to return to Seoul!
Great tour guide, but we could have done without the ginseng ripoff factory.
