This activity will end right where it started.
Choose from several morning departure times and embark on a 6-hour Kenai Fjords National Park cruise from Seward. Step aboard a 95-foot-long (29-meter) non-smoking cruise vessel designed with comfort in mind. Capture views of jagged icy cliffs along the Kenai Peninsula, fjords and calving glaciers — from inside the warm and spacious cabin equipped with seating and large picture windows, or from the multi-level observation decks.

Enjoy a fast cruising speed, with extra time to photograph and view wildlife and glaciers. Learn about the evolving geology of the Harding Icefield, which dates back to the ice age and forms the steep fjords. As you journey approx. 100 miles (160 km) round-trip from Seward, marvel at the breathtaking landscape teeming with marine life amid plankton-rich waters, which attract migrating whales.

Hear from your seasoned captain about the wildlife you’re likely to see at peak season, which may include humpback, minke and orca whales, as well as harbor seals, sea otters and porpoises.

Catch sight of migratory seabirds that nest in the Kenai Fjords, as well as other native flora and fauna. Watch puffins dive underwater and view the rookeries of more than 18 other bird species in the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge, including black-legged kittiwakes and common murres.

Enjoy an onboard lunch (see sample menu below) before the captain sets voyage back to Seward port.

6-hour Kenai Fjords Tour

This was a wonderful trip. though with a marine advisory of rough seas. The ship was well prepared and attentive to those with motion sickness, when we approached the ocean and the Captain had excellent control of the ship. We stopped at various points to see elusive whales, too quick to capture on a camera. We saw 3 kinds of whales, a humpback, some orcas, and a mother and calf. We saw a sea otter and seals. We saw multiple glaciers, waterfalls, and we went around fjords in Resurrection Bay that were carved out by glaciers. A beautiful trip.

A wonderful trip

Due to the bad weather - rains and the choppy sea, we had to do the shortened version of the trip. The cruise was very well managed though - all the passengers were informed at the time of boarding about the options - to cancel or continue with the shortened version of the trip. Refunds were handed over after the trip to all passengers as per the mode of trip booking - cash or credit cards.

Reach one hour ealry to get the boarding pass and stand in front of your cruise mentioned on your pass to catch good seats indoor. Its fist come first serve. Would recommend to get seats inside as its a 6 hour journey and gets cold towards the end. You can get on the deck anytime you want. Overall amazing experience with breathetaking views, keep binoculars with you as you keep seeing wildlife throught the trip.
