We had such a lovely time today visiting the tea plantation, enjoying authentic tea house lunch, exploring the gorgeous ling yin temple, relaxing on the boat ride, & seeing the stunning views from the pagoda!! The car service was very nice and convenient. Our tour guide was so kind, friendly, and informative as well! She also took great photos for us! We will definitely recommend this tour to our friends and family :)
Our trip to Hangzhou was an incredible experience. We enjoyed the beauty of the Lingyin Temple (try to find all 340 Buddha sculptures), and loved the food and tea in the Tea Village. The weather was incredible so we took the scenic and relaxing boat trip on West Lake. Our guide Snow was informative and tailored the experience to our wishes and spoke excellent English. Snow kept the pace of the trip smooth so we were able to see and experience everything yet still feel relaxed and stress free. Don’t hesitate- book this trip now.
We travelled to Hangzhou yesterday together with our aged parents. It’s a sight to see how crowded HongQiao train station was and despite the rush-hour crowd, we were escorted safely and smoothly to our first-class seats by our very experienced tour guide - Alana. The boat tour at West Lake was a lovely experience but for those who cannot swim, I suggest you take a bigger boat or ask for a safety jacket. The scenery is breathtaking and it was great opportunity to take photos. The lunch venue at LongJing tea plantation was one of the best we have had during our vacation here. The clay pot chicken soup was one of the best we have tasted (even better than most chicken soups we have had at home in Singapore/Malaysia). For those (especially some Caucasians) who detest seeing the entire chicken (head & claws) on their dinning table, should request for only the chicken soup without the entire chicken inside the clay pot. Seeing how the LongJing tea leaves were plucked by hand and prepared painstakingly, I now understand why the top grade LongJing is so expensive! Overall, we had a great time with Alana who is a bilingual tour guide and she was super attentive to all our needs. Highly recommended for anyone to choose Amazing Shanghai Travel and Alana for HangZhou day tour.
We had an amazing time visiting Hangzhou and I recommend this tour to anyone traveling in the area! Everything in Hangzhou is kind of far a part and we did not see much public transportation like you do in Shanghai. I think especially if you only have a day to see Hangzhou this tour makes it the most efficient and stress free. Our tour guide Snow was fantastic and I think my favorite part was the boat ride on west lake.
Very nice again, Berlin was outstanding as our tour guide. She met us early, made each of the tour leg’s easy and stress free, kept us comfortable and well fed and was incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of our tour. The temple, tea plantation and west lake were beautiful, but what we most enjoyed was Berlin’s warm, engaging personality. In addition, our two teenagers loved Berlin! They looked forward to today’s visit, as she skillfully related to them. In their words, she was “iconic”! Thank you for providing such a wonderful guide. This was definitely one of the highlights of our Shanghai visit!
We had an amazing time in Hangzhou. Went to the Flying Peak and Buddha temple, tasted fresh green tea next to the fields it was grown, and enjoyed an afternoon boat ride on West Lake. It was my favorite day in China and I cannot commend it enough! Our tour guide Snow made the experience carefree and very educational. We had an amazing time!
At the outset, this bullet train trip was the best highlight of our China trip. It was made very enjoyable by our young guide Berlin (LAN ?, her name means Ocean waves) who came on time to pick us up, in a van to the Bullet train station, a fast and exciting ride to Hangzhou. Just in one and a half hour we were at Hangzhou. A nice van took us to the great temple Lingyin Temple. We had a thorough look of the entire temple, with the caves and innumerable Buddha’s on the surface of the hill and the main temple itself. Then, we headed to the Tea Plantation Restaurant. Berlin introduced us to the wide range of interesting food to eat, especially since I am a vegetarian. The Restaurant itself is set beautifully around water. Afterwards we got to walk around the tea plantation. Next we got to see the West Lake and nice surroundings. We had a nice ride on the lake in a boat. Got introduced to Leifeng Pagoda, Lihue Pagoda, Saw the entrance to Yuewang Temple (It was loaded with visitors and we did not go inside). The weather was beautiful and Hangzhou itself was so different from Shanghai and Beijing. A very fast less than an hour trip to Shanghai and back in Hotel on time. Extremely beautiful trip and worth the time and money. Berlin made the whole trip very enjoyable. Thank you, Berlin, all the best in life for you.
We had a 5 star day with Berlin! It was a busy day traveling to Hangzhou but Berlin made it an amazing time with her knowledge of the area and her fun personality. We learned a lot about the Chinese culture and history; tried new and different foods;and overall had a great time spending our day with her. We would definitely recommend this tour and Berlin as a guide!!
This was an immensely enjoyable trip despite the rain. Our tour guide, Berlin, was energetic and knowledgeable. The Buddhist temple was spectacular and the stone carvings into the side of the mountain were an enormous joy. Lunch at the Green Tea restaurant was delicious and the surroundings by the water made a fabulous scene. Berlin became very animated discussing the different foods available on the surrounding areas! After that, a rain soaked walk and a boat ride at West Lake rounded off a great day.
Hangzhou is a lovely city. So glad I got the chance to see it. The park around West Lake and the temple afforded lots of opportunities for some beautiful photographs. The traffic was heavy at weekend, but we saw everything we wanted to and made it to the train station in time. Thanks!
