Hangzhou was a highlight and not to be missed. The tour is very well organised and we used every minute of that day to the fullest. What an Amazing place!
To start off Viator says we must contact our local guide to ensure local pickup at a hotel and only gives a phone option to do so. We only had phone data service so wasn't able to call the number, but luckily the number popped up in WeChat where our guide confirmed everything was all good. My only criticism is that we should be able to do everything online prior to the tour - but not our tour guides fault at all. Our guide, Cindy, met us at the hotel and picked us up in a private car. It was a small tour of just me and my wife, so Cindy stayed with us the entire time. We did everything in the itinerary, so I don't think I need to rehash all of that - but it was a really good trip and we both felt like we were visiting Hangzhou with a knowledgeable friend. Next time I am in Shanghai I will definitely see what other tours are available!
Had a very enjoyable day at West Lake and Hangzhou, picked up at our hotel on time then high speed train to Hangzhou, a cruise on West Lake and a Buddhist temple visit plus an extra highlight was lunch at a farmers house. We also visited a tea farm and learnt about tea farming and had a tea tasting. Beautiful scenery and so peaceful. Back to Shanghai on the high speed train, then delivered back to our hotel. An excellent day trip.
Awesome day out. Cindy was very good. Felt more time to do and see. Definitely take bullet Train. Great Experience. Small group tours far better and don't feel like cattle. Awesome.

We had a fabulous day. Cindy Wang from Shanghai Advisor Tour was outstanding.
A must do trip. We were picked up from our hotel in Shanghai and taken to the train station where the guide purchased our train tickets. The bullet train is worth doing on its own as it was a great experience. It is very organised, efficient and was very comfortable and of course fast! the guide did not get on the train with us but we were met at the other end by a different guide. She organised taxis to take my husband, myself and herself to Hangzhou . We had beautiful weather and did a boat trip across the lake where we then got off and had a walk around. Next was a trip to some Gardens and temples which again was lovely and finally to a tea plantation which was very interesting. We didn't have time for lunch before our train due to the traffic so grabbed something at the train station before we returned back to shanghai. Excellent trip.
Definitely recommend this tour! Walking up to the Faxi Temple was the highlight - but the overall day was just the right combination of sites, sounds, food and information. A walk on the broken bridge, ride on a lake boat, lunch at the Green Tea Restaurant, hike up to and then walking around the upper Faxi Temple, A visit to the green tea village and then a quick stop at the Silk Museum. Skillful leadership by Cindy made all the difference. Her knowledge and ability to easily manage the logistics made it seamless. A wonderful trip.
We wouldn't do it alone in one day, perfect organized - our guide Cindy many thx
We found this tour to be well organized. Enjoyed the Bullet train ride, which greatly reduce the time to get between Shanghai to Hangzhou. Found Hangzhou to be a much larger city than we thought it would be. The temples and the surrounding area were beautiful and very interesting. We were able to tour the temples and park area at our own pace. No crowds when we were there. The local tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. There was much more walking involved in this tour than we thought we would encounter and we were exhausted by the end of the day. Overall a worthwhile tour.
Great day out from Shanghai, if you have some time off, it is a great way to blow off some steam and get away from the city.
The tour used Dimmi for transport, so the guide spent a lot of time on the phone organising pickups. A bit of hard sales pressure at the tea house. Lake cruise ok but smoggy. Seeing the tea fields was interesting. Lunch at local farmers included being given dishes then left alone.
Cindy, our tour guide was lovely, had a good day. Was so busy tho that we only saw one temple and had to rush around the tea plantation. There was some hard sell in the plantation which wasn and #39;t expected. Paid alot for this tour and I don and #39;t think it was worth the money. Do it tho if there and #39;s a deal on.
Enjoyed the tour, and would especially complement our tour guide Yvon who made the experience all the better. However, the inclusions were not as advertised: 1 There was no private driver to meet us at Hangzhou. We had to catch taxis and use Uber cars to get around, which meant quite some time was spent waiting for pick-ups and 2 There was only one temple visit, not three as advertised.
