So far so good

So far the hop on hop off was ok if you have all the time to wait its ok. They do not have a specific time when the bus arrives like every 15mins or 30 mins and when its almost 5pm they would wait and try to put all their passengers in 1 bus overall its fine if you are not in a hurry

Easy to find hop on hop off bus personal night tour was great tour guide very good with English . The bund ride was confusing as it was only one way and it didn’t say on ticket or where to pick the bus up but otherwise good

Tour options were great - took the red line - short wait time for the buses. Frequency of buses was maybe 15 minutes - routes were quite good (3 to choose from)

Buses seemed a bit outdated and some microphone inlets were not working. There seemed far more lesser buses as compared to other companies and the commentary was outdated. There was also lack of communication in terms of stop announcements besides lack of staff on bus for guidance

The Bus took us everywhere that was popular with tourists. The recorded descriptions weren't always in sync with where the bus was.

Well Worth the Price

Maybe it's because I live in China, so my expectations are different, but we thought this tour was wonderful. We had some trouble finding where to go to begin our tour and had to search for the right bus company's website in order to get instructions. Once you switch your voucher over for paper tickets (do it at the main kiosk just outside exit 19 of the People's Square Station), you can easily access the company's bus lines. The stations are easy to find and convenient to most of the city's tourist attractions. We got the package with all 3 attractions, which between the cruise and the tower nearly pays for itself. The tunnel is NOT a must-see (in my opinion), but everything else was great. I just wish the buses ran later into the evening. The attractions are open until 8:30pm or later, but the buses stop around 6pm, which is rather inconvenient!

Good way to see some of Shanghai

We rode the green route (Pudong) and the red route (downtown Shanghai). Both were good overviews of those areas. Pudong focused on all the new and very tall buildings, but that's what Pudong is. The red route showed off more of the downtown area, especially the bund. As a very long ago former visitor to Shanghai (1946-48) I was a little disappointed they didn't mention the former International Settlement or the Japanese attack on Shanghai (1937), but that's the modern tourism business. They do stop at 3 places along the Bund, which is always an interesting place,

We booked this tour prior to a cruise and 12 days before the event. Email tickets didn't arrive in the first week following booking. By this time we were in China and our access was blocked. Couldn't access the trip. Be cautious and ensure you have download time prior to the tour. We thought 7 days would be ample. :(

Terrible customer service

They don't answer phone calls. It took me some effort to find them eventually. On occasions, the bus driver wouldn't stop in the intended stop -- I needed to take the next bus.

Worst hop on hop off experience in my...

Worst hop on hop off experience in my many years of travel. First of all, maps without the updated late times were not handed out wanted to save money, I guess. You have to ask when certain busses ends or you won't know that there are extended times. There is no one on the bus to help you as I experienced on past better tours. The coordination between the stops and the recording were not coordinated correctly on a bus. When the stop for the Shanghai museum was stated, we were in the middle of a street with shops. When I showed the bus driver, he stopped the bus and opened the door and signaled me to get off. I was very confused and thought maybe I was near the museum. I actually was pretty far and could not walk the distance. I had to ask for help and was directed to a city bus that I took back to the People's Park. When I told the young men from the tour what happened - that the bus driver let me off in the middle of nowhere - they seemed unconcerned and said that the bus driver does not speak English. I asked them to call a supervisor and one referred me to the number on the brochure. I called several times and no one answered the number. It was almost time for the tour to end and I took a bus back to the starting point at the Bund. Finally, two nice tour guides called their supervisor to report what happened. They gave me an extra day to complete the tour and she wrote it on the ticket. I could barely see her writing. Unfortunately, the ink faded and the next day, I did not have proof to show to the same three guys I encountered from yesterday. I just decided that I did not want the hassle and I wanted to spend my last day in Shanghai pleasantly. If you speak Chinese, you probably will not have a problem. If you are English speaking, caveat emptor, buyer beware!!!!!!
