good you will see al the important things in a short time, I recommend Hop on Hop off in the whole worls.
Buses on all three lines ran frequently. Buses on each line red, green and blue were timed to make connections to buses waiting at the next line. Lots of very friendly and helpful staff.
This was a great way to get around Shanghai! The staff spoke english quite well which is always helpful.
We purchased the 48 hour bus with 3 attractions. The bus was good and regular, never over crowded and although it states the last bus is 5pm on our visit during Golden Week the buses ran until 9pm. The river cruise in the evening was excellent the buildings on both sides of the riverside where quite spectacular when they were all lit up. The Tourist Tunnel and the Observation Deck were also worth a visit. Overall this is an excellent way to see Shanghai in a short time.
A great way to see all the sights in Shanghai! The included boat trip was excellent as well. The traffic was fine to get to places and this allowed us to see a lot of the city in the 2 days we had available. Well worth the money as we didn't have much luck with cab drivers who didn't speak English.
This is a great way to get around to the sights of Shanghai at your leisure. A very efficient and comfortable service.
I had 2 great days on the bus, and took advantage of the extra inclusions on the premium ticket. I did get a surprise when I got off the tunnel ride and found myself on the other side of the river. I then walked to the Jon Mao tower and enjoyed the view internally and externally.

We usually use hop-on-hop-off in major cities around the world where we travel. This Shanghai tour was no different, very good. There are many tour companies operating similar routes using the same locations for stops. Kind of annoying seeing the bus far away coming, but when arriving at the station, you realise that is not yours.
Excellent service on site, up-on / off site well organized and available, employees available and friendly

This is something I would advise anyone to do and being able to buy in advance from Viator was an added advantage.
Very great tour for the price! They give you a ticket that is good for two days, along with tickets to the tunnel, Jin Mao observation deck, and river cruise. Just make sure you hold on and don't lose your tickets. I didn't think all of this could be included for the price but it was! One day I took the red and blue lines and the next day the green. They give you headphones and you plug them into the wall next to your seat to hear the commentary. I would recommend to the the tour more so on the weekend because it seems like you wait a little longer for buses to arrive at the stops during the week. I took the river cruise right at dusk about 5pm and the buildings looked gorgeous lit at night. They even had snacks, beer, and wine for sale on the boat. I would recommend to everyone!

This is a great way to get around Shanghai but because of traffic, the commentary is always out of sync, also we have to wait quite a while for the bus to come especially during rush hour traffic. If you have a few days in Shanghai the metro is a great option, very easy to use and you can buy multi day tickets which are very good value.
We enjoyed Shanghai Tour in Hop -on Hop-off bus taking 2 days Premium ticket. Huangpu River Cruise in the evening at 5pm was most enjoyable part, we could see the city during the day as well as starlight, it was just mesmerizing! Bund experience was also good. Jinmao Tower , we had a fascinating view from 88nd floor. We enjoyed Jade Buddah temple and excellent shopping there. It was awesome trip! Only sometimes wait for bus was too long, if you have missed one, so plan accordingly.
The bus tours are what they are: a great way to get around the city and learn a little bit. Always worth the money. But bring a jacket, most are open tops even in November!

We were a little disappointed because of the weather, so for that reason we could not enjoy the cruise and I think since there was out last opportunity to enjoy the views, we thought the operator would offer something in exchange but it was not the case.
The Bus Tour was a very good and efficient way to see Shanghai. It was just quite unforturnate that it was raining the whole day. If you don't have kids with you, I suggest don't get the Bund sightseeing tunnel tour.
It's a great way to get your bearings around Shanghai when you first arrive or only staying in Shanghai for a short period of time and presented good value with all the free admissions to the observation deck, cruise and sight seeing tunnel. However, if you have a few more days in Shanghai, the metro is just as easy. The information leaflets we got from our hotel provides all the information on how to get to most key attractions via metro. Because of traffic, the commentary is always out of sync, also we have to wait quite a while for the bus to come especially during rush hour traffic. Took us 50 minutes just to do one-stop from Yuyuan garden to Xintiandi. Would be quicker to walk.
Very good choice If you have only 2-3 days to discover Shanghai.
Great way to get your bearings in Shanghai, being able to use the ticket over two days on all three routes means it's value for money. Great volume on the headsets.
This is a really great way to have a look around the city and helps in getting your bearings and seeing the major sights. The audio is pretty good with some information as you go through different areas. 3 different lines and easy to change buses. Very regular too. Recommended.
