We were lucky to have Snow as our guide. She was wonderful and first asked us what restaurant we would prefer - there were two choices and 2 styles. We picked the one that had evening entertainment and that's the one you probably see on many reviews. It was a good choice for us. Snow explained all the menu choices and we ordered many different things - all good. The driver was very professional and took us right to the ticket office. Other people had very long walks because their tour bus couldn't get near.
Snow navigated her way to the office, got our tickets and then got us to the boat and some great seats in the VIP section. The view is spectacular and she explained all the buildings we were seeing and their history.
Afterwards, the driver picked us up swiftly and we went back to our hotel.
Viator is better than some other tour operators because they pick you up at the hotel and drop you off. They also have great tour guides like Snow.
This is probably one of the highlights of our stay in Shanghai.

Our night began with our tour guide Xin picking us up conveniently at our Hotel. Xin was wonderful as she told us not only of the culture and history of Shanghai, but she also shared her own personal stories. Xin took us to dinner in the beautiful Shanghai Tower where she ordered 3 authentic Chinese dishes to share that were absolutely delicious. Then we went to the boat for a cruise where we saw all of the beauty of the lit up buildings along the river. We were then driven comfortably back to our Hotel. I highly recommend this tour as part of everyone’s visit to Shanghai!

This evening was amazing. What made it more so was our tour guide Queena. She is very knowledgeable about her city and went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable evening. I would not hesitate to book this tour and if possible request Queena...you won't be dissappointed.

One of the places of interest I definitely wanted to see in Shanghai was the Bund. I wasn't too sure how I was going to effect the tour but I was searching on-line and came across the Shanghai Night River Cruise available through Viator. This was mid-morning. I checked on availability and Alana, the tour manager, was kind enough to make the arrangements even at the late date for that very evening. The tour guide, Ms. Xin and the driver were right on time for the pickup. Crossing town in heavy traffic I felt completely at ease with the driver. He expertly and comfortably delivered to the destination and return. Ms. Xin was very friendly and quite knowledgeable. She got us in the VIP lounge on the boat and pointed out many of the historic buildings along the Bund and even some funny nicknames for some of the newer buildings. The timing was just right so that by midway through the cruise, all the buildings were lit up. Actually quite beautiful. After the cruise, Ms. Xin said that if one is in Shanghai, one ought to eat Shanghai cuisine. We went to "Shanghai China Town" for dinner including one dish called "eight treasures". Excellent meal and then I was delivered back to my hotel. Ms. Xin even went above the call of duty to pencil in some other "should see" sights on a map of Shanghai. Overall, I would rate the tour I had as a 5 on a scale of 1-5, where five is the best rating. Thanks Viator. Gary Rogers, Napa, California, USA

We had a wonderful evening with Queena. Both activities, the boat where she shared plenty of history and knowledge from Shanghai. Along the boat trip, she explained the buildings and the meaning behind each of them. The dinner at the Paradise Dynasty was delicious, Queena recommended the traditional dishes.
