What To Expect
When your cruise ship docks at Messina, meet a local driver and guide at the port or a nearby pickup point, and climb aboard a bus with no more than 30 passengers for a scenic, half-hour drive along the Tyrrhenian coastline. Arrive at Capo Rasocolmo beach, where verdant cliffs give way to white sandy shores, making it one of Messina's most photographed locations. Enjoy 1.5 hours of leisure time here to swim or simply relax and take in the inspiring scenery. Continue on to the Tenuta Rasocolmo winery, where you’ll kick off the visit with a tour of the gorgeous estate lead by the winegrower. Learn about the production process on a stroll through the vineyards, olive groves, and main house, and then sample the fertile estate’s bounty with a tasting of wine and specialty products. Sip two whites — l’Hismael and Etna Bianco — and two reds, including the DOC Faro Rasocolmo 2011, which nabbed the bronze medal at the London International Wine Challenge of 2015. Round out your palate with delicious gourmet products like salumi di suino nero dei Nebrodi, local cheeses, handmade jams, and olive oil. After 2.5 hours at the winery, relax on the return drive to the Messina port and your waiting cruise ship.

Highlight of our trip!
, Jul 2018
this tour was one of the highlights of our 14 day trip around Italy and Greece. Our tour guide Katia was awesome! She was so pleasant and informative. She worked hard at making sure she was doing a good job. Very humble. I appreciated her wanting to know what we appreciated about the tour , as well as , what she could improve upon. She was a total delight. Loved the winery. Tour guide there was very nice. Food was GREAT. Wine was excellent. Loved the beach. Clean. not over crowded. Showers, changing room and snack bar close to beach a real plus.
