Advertisied as a pickup from the hotel. This is what drew us to this tour. After paying for the tour. We were emailed that we would not be picked up at our hotel, and would have to make it there on our own. This is unacceptable. This is false advertising. During the tour , our guide , “ Dario “ spent most of his time chatting with one couple and ignoring the rest of us . Also very little explanations of what we were seeing. Very unprofessional !Not only are we disappointed with this tour. We have been using viator for years. For the money we spent and spend with you. I think it’s time to look elsewhere, Your very dissatisfied customer!!! Joe
OMG- so worth the money. Pickup point was very central. It was us (myself, wife, teenage daughter) and another family that we met at the pickup point. We all got along great and had a lot to talk about. Dario was our guide and was helpful and amazing. The boat tour was fantastic, the water crystal clear and refreshing. Highlight of our trip. No regrets whatsoever.
My daughter and I took the tour in July and it was totally amazing! Dario and Simone were incredibly friendly and explained all the sights to us. We even got to swim off the boat which was a great experience. The lunch after the tour was a delicious 3 course meal and had the friendliest staff.
This is one tour worth doing in Taormina.
We met our guide Dario at a central, easy to find location. We were taken by minivan to board a boat where we met the equally charming Simone. These 2 young guys were very knowledgeable, super friendly and made the trip so much fun. They were happy to take pics for us whilst we were swimming at the 2 points where we enjoyed the clear clean waters off the Taormina coast. Views of the coastline and commentary was fantastic. We were given lovely cold fruit salad on board as well as a local wine and when this part of the tour ended we enjoyed a massive 3 course lunch at Isola Bella looking out to sea. A great day. 2 great guides. Would do this day again for sure- highly recommend taking it. It was great value. Perfect
This tour was memorable from beginning to end! Dario greeted us at the meeting location and was very gracious. We were then driven to coastline where we boarded boats and our adventure began. The coastline and views are amazing. We then anchored off shore, swam and enjoyed the company of the other tour participants. After a few hours we docked and had an incredible lunch. This was a highlight of our trip to Sicily!
Great day. Dario was our guide and was fantastic. Very accommodating, spoke great English. The boat was the perfect size for our party of 6, everyone from ages 12-72 said this was the best part of our 5 days in Taormina. I would book this again for sure. The tour included lunch at a restaurant along the shore which we viewed as a throw away and expected to be poor but we were very pleasantly surprised. Great value overall.
the views were quite beautiful and the tour guide and boat operator were very sweet and kind, but the tour was exceptionally long with very little historical info provided about the tour. she is clearly not a historian nor is she well versed in the history of Taormina, as she shared no information, just pointed out the names of the caves or bays that we approached. No mention of the types of fish or habitats, the history etc. It was our anniversary and she brought a bottle of champagne for all of us to share, which was very thoughtful, but were it not for that, the tour was not up to par with any o the tours we've taken throughout Europe and Italy. If you're just looking for a leisurely boat ride of the coast, this was fine.
