You'll gain an understanding of where Khmer food begins when you see the rice fields, herb gardens and fruit trees in the small village where your cooking class takes place.
Our guide and chef Sophia was so lovely. we made some fabulous meals in a very clean setting, both my daughter and i were very impressed. would recommend this to anyone who loves food.
This cooking class was excellent! the countryside was beautiful. We really appreciated the tour of the neighboring village as we met an absolutely beautiful woman who was gracious enough to show us how she prepares dinner for her family. The meal we learned to make was delicious and we learned new techniques for cooking Khmer food.
One of the best activities we've done in Sieam Reap. We were a bit unlucky and couldn't visit the city because it started raining very strongly. They managed to pick us up and take us to the cooking place. It was very beautiful, we could cook a wide range of typical Cambodian dishes with every detailed step explained. At the end they gave us the printed recipes and also prepared a dinner with our own dishes. Recommended activity in the island.
This was an absolutely outstanding experience. Will do it again when we return to Cambodia. Our guide / chef - Soppi? - made the class very memorable - as did the setting which is set in a well manicured and laid out garden adjacent to local villages. Brilliant. Thank you Soppi.
