Fed by the Mekong River and known as the life support system of Cambodia, Tonle Sap is a must-see on any visit to Cambodia. Getting there by bicycle provides an in-depth experience of the rural farmlands of Cambodia before your up-close experience of the lake in a kayak.
This a great but long day.
Our guide from Grasshopper tours was very good, as we were the only two on the tour we had his undivided attention.
The bikes were good for what we were doing and in good condition. The cycling was easy visiting a market, tasting food, visiting a temple and a dam for morning tea. Cycled some more to a meeting point and a tour of a local village then a Fabulous lunch, followed by a relax in a hammock.
Boating next to the floating village and kayaking with a local guide.Finished off with a beer or soft drink. Boat ride back to the van and delivered totally knackered but happy to out hotel.
A great day, not to be misseed
