This was quite amazing. They picked us up, showed us around the storage area and explained the different rice wine. Then we tried 11 different kinds. I wasn and #39;t planning on buying anything but after the tasting I bought 2 bottles. Yumm!

This was a neat little tour--it doesn't last very long but it was a lot of fun! I was picked up at my hotel which is great, because my hotel was a little out of town and taken to their workshop. I saw the bottles of liqueur in various stages of the process and tasted eleven samples the last three were new flavors they were trying out. It would be a great rainy day activity.

This tour only lasted 45 minutes but it was one of many highlights of our visit to Siem Reap Feb. 2016.
We were picked up at our hotel and driven to the Sombai location which was only a short distance. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely young lady who was out guide. She took us upstairs steep stairway and explained the 11 types of infused liquor and how they are made and then bottled. After that we are taken back downstairs for a tasting of 8 different flavors. Since I have allergies to citrus , I only tasted 3, which were all great. I ended up buying several small bottles to bring back to the US. My favorites were the Anise Coffee and The Banana Cinnamon blend. The bottles are beautifully hand painted by a local Cambodian artist and each is one-of-a-kind. This is a NOT-TO-MISS activity.

An unique and wonderful product. We enjoyed meeting the lovely creators of Sombai. The tasting was fun and educational. We walked away with six bottles and wished we had bought more. Each bottle itself are a piece of art. They are hand-painted by local artists in traditional Khmer themes. A definite must on your visit to Siem Reap especially for gifts before Xmas.

This was a really great tour for the price. They tell you about the process of distilling and infusing the rice wine. It was very informative. Also they were willing to do our tour on a holiday.

this trip the sombai infused workshop is only a short trip , but is well worth doing , once there the guide shows you round all the different selections of liqueur and explains what is in each one and how long they have been made, the highlight of the trip is the tasting , you get to taste a minimum of six different flavors, plus snacks,
after the tasting you can by the bottles, i chose the banana flavor one, just wish i had off brought more !!!
i would recommend this short tour while in siem reap
