The tour was absolutely the best from start to finish. Our guide was so nice and so engaging that the ride itself was enjoyable. The wine tasting was absolutely the best, the young lady that gave us the tour and tasting couldn't have been any better. She was funny, charming and insightful. Great time
Very nice tour of San Gimignano and visited a family winery where we got to taste some wonderful olive oil and good wine. Nice way to see the countryside, especially for a first time visitor.
A real bargain and very entertaining. This trip takes you into the beautiful tuscan countryside and quaint towns with long histories. The wine tasting was the best ever in Italy. Would highly recommend!
Wonderful tour, wonderful guide and great value. The only thing I would note is that this tour was advertised as 5 hours but was actually 6 hours - important to know if you are making dinner reservations.
This was an awesome tour. The winery was amazing Julia was a gracious host and made it such fun to learn about the different types of wine that her winery makes, our tour guide was fantastic Leviana was very knowledgeable of the region and had language skills that allowed her to speak with everyone on our tour, the countryside is beautiful there is a significant portion of riding, but the ride is comfortable and you can really see the fact that this an agriculture based economy given the number of farms and fields, and you really could not ask for a better day trip. Stopping in Castelina and San Gigminano were both great places to get a chance to explore and was such a nice reprieve, since these are smaller cities of Tuscany. I am so glad we did this. Such an amazing trip!
Excellent tour. San Gimignano was very crowded but enjoyable. The highlight of the tour was the Chianti Wine Tasting. It was educational and entertaining and the food plate was delicious as was the wine. I would definitely recommend this tour.
An excellent trip and well worth the money . Loads to see and do on this terrific trip. First stop was in an enchanting little place called monteriggioni where we stopped for a glass of wine and a piece of delicious sienna cake otherwise known as panforte. Then back on the mini bus to our next destination of Castellona in Chianti where we had a little pit stop to see the church and wandered around the lovely wee streets.and a pretty stunning view of the rolling Tuscan hills.then off to San Gimignano which is another absolutely stunning mediaeval walled city where I had been in 1978 a total blast from the past and the most wonderful thing was it hasn't changed one bit in 39 years how incredible is that? Walked through the wonderful streets to the centre and found the well . Famous for having an secret underground pool , I only found that out recently. After a spot of lunch it was back onto the bus for our last but not least stop of the day a wonderful vineyard where we were entertained by the most incredibly handsome and charming vintner who looked like a better version of David Boreanaz.... who played Angel in Buffy the vampire slayer. Utterly delicious and so were the wines oils and biscotti we had . No hard sales pitch at all just a wonderful relaxing experience in a beautiful part of Tuscany... great tour guide too . Very good looking and utterly charming and knowledgeable. This trip is a most definitive must do/see.
This was a nice tour. I recommend this tour- it was good value for the money and it was a fun time had by all...especially after the generous wine tasting.
My sister and I had the best tour yet. We drove through the rolling hills of Tuscany. Checked out a couple of small towns, Castellina and San Gimignano then off to Chianti wine tasting. They weren't mean with the wine and nibbles. We tried 6 different wines from whites through to Chianti supreme. Plenty of Tuscan snacks including cheeses, salami, peppery olive oil and best of all truffle olive oil. They also had us dipping biscotti into our dessert wine. Try it. It's not bad, certainly softens up that biscotti.
The small van with its 7 passengers was a lot noisier on the way home. No dinner needed tonight.
Our guide/driver William Guillermo was great. He was honest and frank with a sense of humour! We loved the little town of Castellina and our visit to San Gimignano. The wine tasting with appetizers was excellent. It was great to have a designated driver to take us back to Siena. Overall a great half day trip!
The tour guide Júlia was very friendly and helpful. The sights of the Chianty region are breath taking and very calming. The wine tasting was very well conducted my Mira giving us enough time to taste the delicious wines, food and to bond with the rest of the group.
This was an excellent trip and remarkable value. We had been planning to hire a car to do the same things but found this trip available and thought it well worthwhile. The wine tasting - which was generous - was a highlight. Highly recommended.
Don't miss this tour! The very best wine tasting toor! The wine was out of this world!
Amazing! Can and #39;t say enough positive things about this tour and our guide, Vincente! Loved hearing about his experience as a farmer to explain vineyards and wine - the most knowledgeable and professional guide we and #39;ve ever had on ANY tour! Day was perfectly paced with plenty of time to explore.
Great tour! Amazing wine and food. The places we visited were beautiful and we had a great time!
It was a half day trip (that and #39;s all the time we had) and we absolutely loved it. Lavinia was our guide and she was knowledgeable and very friendly. We visited Castellina Di Chianti and San Gimignano and then finished with a wine tasting session that vastly exceeded our expectations.
Really had a great time on this trip. Got to see a lot of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Great bargain.
Loved it! Had a great time.our guide was very nice. Enjoyed all our stops. Would do it again!
Fantastic wine tasting with a great host, San GIamiano was well worth a visit and would have spent more time there rather than going to the first stop at the castle which was a disappointing tourist trap. The wine tasting was very relaxed andnot rushed think we stayed near an hour later than planned.
Our tour guide Marco was amazing! He picked us up right from our hotel in Siena, on time and in black Mercedes. He not only allows us to explore San Gimignano for some time, he also took us for a quick stop at the Sienese medieval fortress of Monteriggioni. The tasting at Torciano's was fantastic as we were the only couple in the main dining area large tours sit outside in the courtyard or in their larger tasting/cask building and had a single worker spend an entire hour with us talking about the wines, the foods and just chatting. I would very much recommend this tour, especially for the price!
The tour was really relaxing and fun. I can and #39;t remember the name of our guide but she was very nice and informative. It was very organized, minus the slight delay of the guide and the bus arriving due to traffic and so we had trouble finding the exact place to wait since there was no guide to meet us.
This was an absolutely amazing tour. There were only 5 people so we rode in a nice comfortable van. Our guide Stephan was very nice and knowledgeable. We started with a stop for cheese tasting then on to San Gimignano. We had plenty of time to see the town and have some gelato. Then on to wine tasting in Chianti where Milla took good care of us. We tried several wines paired with a great spread of food. We had a blast!
