Traveler Tips

Busses stop at overcrowded local bus stops which can cause you to miss your bus for trying to navigate through lines.
The yellow line route is very useful as it includes a stop at the Botanic Gardens (delightful).

Sightseeing in Singapore

Singapore is beautiful! The buses were clean and prompt. Traffic can be a problem, but was not on the day we went!
Good idea for first day
Giorgina_D, Mar 2020
It’s a nice tour, it lets you to have an idea of the city because it brings you around the city. Thanks to the headphones some informations about monuments and neighborhoods are given. The only cons I have noticed is that the stops are shared with normal line buses and there is not a sign that tells you that that stop is also for hop-on hop-off buses. So, it doesn’t matter if you get in at the same bus stop from where you get out the bus. It is just a little bit harder if have walked and want to get on a different bus stop. Keep also in mind that even if you see on the map given four lines, with the ticket you can join only red and yellow line. If you think to use the hop-on hop-off bus to go to the botanical gardens, buy the 48h ticket. The gardens are very big and you will have no extra time to continue the bus line tour and eventually change line and join the entire second loop.

Ear pieces not working well. Comentary not in line with stops Drivers English not very clear. Stops need to be clearer
Just a must
Bronwyn_J, Feb 2020
Every body that travels should do these bus trips to get an idea of the whereabouts of the town . We did this to help us shop and get around for 48 hrs .
City sightseeing is no more
johnmckie, Feb 2020
Having spent time searching for City Sightseeing Tours in Singapore I found out that they had been taken over by Bigbus which hadn't been communicated by Viator. Only find out when we asked A Bigbus rep where City sightseeing was based - good experienced thereafter.
Disappointing...
Kevin_B, Feb 2020
Very disappointed as booked the 48hr trip as there was four lines we could use. We did the red and yellow lines on day 1 and then on our return wanted to add the blue line the next day. We were told we couldn’t do that but had to buy a new ticket for all lines...why didn’t Viator tell us this when we booked it...

Singapore Sights
kernowmaid, Feb 2020
Good commentary in different languages covering most needs of customers. Seating comfortable. Was unsure about some of the bus stops as there didn’t appear to be a special sign for this company.
???

Was a very good experience allowing a good general overview of Singapore. The only issue was having to travel to Suntec City to redeem tickets which wasted time when we could have been on the bus, this requirement was not mentioned at time of booking. Tickets should be redeemable at hotels also.
Good way to get around but info is pretty light...
robinh35, Jan 2020
Not all plugs work for the head phones and drivers constantly talk over the commentary so that you can't hear it. They could include lots more info about sights along the way. Tried to get a copy of the maps online beforehand to plan the day but could not access or have them sent...company never replied to my email. Stopped at Botanical Gardens and Orchid display - highly recommend (on yellow line). We always take Hop on Hop off buses but his was not one of the best. Lots of room for improvement.
Where Are The Stops
Cash_L, Jan 2020
I LOVE the " Ho-Ho" busses worldwide !!!! But Singapore leaves you baffled. No clear signage. Busses stop at overcrowded local bus stops which can cause you to miss your bus for trying to navigate through lines. If I can make one suggestion put more stops closer to the points of interest. It can be a challenge for someone disabled to walk several blocks to the place you'd like to visit Overall it was great we bought passes that allowed us to ride the .RED. YELLOW. BLUE and GREEN routes. The Green route was beneficial because it give you access to Sentosa Island activities where the other routes do not. Bus runs approximately every forty minutes and it is on schedule.
Great way to tour the city!
Donna_G, Jan 2020
Fantastic and inexpensive way to tour the city. Great routes that cover the entire city north to south and east to west. Numerous stops to hop on and off and busses come by every 15-20 minutes.
Good way to move around and see things
Svetlana_B, Dec 2019
i recommend this tour.as it was very convenient way to explore Singapore and get on and off bus at your convinience.
You have to wait a lot
Agim B, Nov 2019
Is a minimum number of buses and we wait for around 50 minutes for one to come in a station in litle india zone
Hop on this

Buses ran on time and stopped at the most popular and convenient spots. Prices were very reasonable and we felt the 48-hour pass was a bargain
Cheaper in person than on line
Scott_V, Oct 2019
Big Bus tours on line and in person offer a better tour that you can book on Travelocity/Viator. Paid US$76.29 with Viator and got a 2 tour, 2 day pass. Could have paid US$75.80 for 4 routes for 2 days. Better deal to buy direct with big bus. They offer to price match but they have the same things, interesting.
Great day out
Barry_W, Oct 2019
Our day was planned with lots of sightseeing, so the 'hop-on, hop-off' bus was ideal choice. It worked well. Can get very hot upstairs if you are on the fully open bus. Walking tour of Chinatown was marred by guide 's lengthy and boring introduction.
Great way to see Singapore
Kent B, Oct 2019
I'd recommend this to anyone who has never been to Singapore. We went on the Red and Yellow lines. The first yellow-line bus had many seats on top without working audio...disappointing. All other buses worked great. Y'all need to check for working audio so you don't detract from the value of the experience. Why you don't is beyond me.
Worth doing
Elaine M, Oct 2019
Worth doing for a quick whistle stop tour to Singapore. Only problem is that the last bus leaves earlier than expected from the main depot. The main routes are Red and Yellow routes
BIG BUS - Singapore
Nihal_P, Sep 2019
Convenient to travel for few popular destinations in Singapore. Frequency of buses is bit long. Daily fare is reasonable.
A brilliant way to see the city

Convenient!
Wu_M, Aug 2019
It was very convenient to take the hop on and off bus to visit the city. Can easily cover all the city highlights in one day. Saved lots of time waiting for bus or look for subway. Highly Recommended!
Love Hop on Hop Off buses
narudgrl, Aug 2019
Best way to get around the city! Yellow line was the best for us! It had the stops that we enjoy the most. Did the 48 hours and it was plenty of time to see the city!
Singapore Hop On Bus

Good way to get around Singapore. The yellow line route is very useful as it includes a stop at the Botanic Gardens (delightful). Clean buses.
Great way to see Singapore
Byron_J, Jul 2019
We decided we would catch the Red line and Yellow line. (We learned there is a green line and blue line also). Some overlap between red/yellow vs. green/blue. What a way to see Singapore. We decided to stay on board to get full view of each. Then we decided to get off at certain stops. So many places to stop. So some planning is involved. We went to the Gardens by the bay which took a lot of time if you want to see it all. Also, the National Orchid Garden was another drop off spot. China Town, Little India, etc. Well worth it to see Singapore.
Ideal with limited time.
Kate_R, May 2019
We got to the office in time for an 8.30 start (as advertised) but the ticket office doesn't open til 9.00 am. Once we'd got our tickets though we started the yellow line tour. One of the places we wanted to get off at was detoured on the day, but we were able to take a short walk back and take in a few more sights. The stops were well marked and arrivals regular so we didn't have to wait long to continue or sightseeing. We had a lengthy stop at the Botanical Gardens and ended our trip at Gardens by The Bay after having our Singapore Slings at Raffles Long Bar. With only one full day to get a taste of Singapore, this was the best way to see as much as possible. You are able to swap between red and yellow routes with the 24 hr pass, the buses are clean and air conditioned and the commentary gives you interesting information about Singapore, it's culture and history. Would recommend, if like us, you only have a brief stopover.
Good quick view
Ed C, Apr 2019
Overall a good overall view of the city. The different routes give you the chance to see a wide variety of things. My only negative was maybe the schedule to make the trip is a bit tight, the bus seemed to go faster than I have expereinced in the past for a sightseeing bus, so it was hard to take some pictures. Having said that I saw alot and enjoyed the rtrip.
Disappointing
jean_c, Apr 2019
the commentary wasn't quite in sync with the journey so we missed some of the sights but more difficult was the fact that there are no markings on the bus stops to show that the Hoppa stopped there and the map supplied didn't pinpoint the stops. if we go to Singapore again we would buy a prepaid card and use the buses and metro and do it ourselves. Also I booked online and thought I had paid for all the routes but in fact I had only booked for 2 of them so be careful and check what you are getting for your money.

This was a great way to see the City and our tour ticket included the red and yellow line which took your to two different parts of the city. Great value for money.
