Sentosa Island Beaches Segway Tour

Sentosa Island Beaches Segway Tour

Meet your guide at the designated location, then receive a quick lesson on Segway controls from your guide. A few minutes practice on the Segway is usually all it takes to get the feel for handling this self-balancing motorized vehicle, which allows an effortless way to cover a lot of ground and see the sights up close.

When you're comfortable with the Segway, follow your guide on a ride that takes you past Sentosa’s sun-kissed beaches, including Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong. Your guide points out the luxury homes in Sentosa Cove, one of the globe's most exclusive real estate locales. Then roll through the heart of Siloso, Singapore’s hippest beach, with bars and bistros, and recreational activities such as rollerblading, kayaking, skim-boarding and beach volleyball, the area's most popular sport.

Families flock to Sentosa’s Palawan Beach, which boasts fountains and wading pools for the youngsters. You'll also see a suspension bridge that connects the beach to the southernmost point of continental Asia and viewing towers that overlook Sentosa and the Singapore Strait. Then continue to palm tree-fringed Tanjong Beach, a favorite spot for tranquility and solitude.

After one hour, your guide returns you to your starting point to end your tour.

We absolutely loved the experience of riding segway - it was the first time for me and my friend and the instructors made it a very enjoyable expedience.

We had a 1 hour segway ride and really enjoyed it. You just turn up when you are ready, they give you some instruction and off you go. There was only my husband and I with the guide. These segways are pretty easy to control, and is a great way to see some of the island. Even though our guide was friendly, he did not say one word during the tour. I thought they were supposed to do a little commentary! We stopped to take some snaps along the way. We went about midday and the beach area was still quiet. It got crowded later in the day.

Segways are always fun to do and easy to get the hang of. Not really a tour as no commentary was given. The poor tour guide didn't know what to do with us as we were not interested in taking selfies all the way like most visitors do (seriously people, stop with the constant selfies!). A great way to see some of the island.

We paid for an hour-long beach tour on Segways. We did get the tour, the kiosk was easy to find, the staff was friendly and the line was not long. However, this still wasn't what we thought we would get. The photographs of the beach tours show X2 Segways on the beach. We were provided the on-road X1 variety set in the turtle speed range and off we went. We had troubles keeping up with our guide because his Segway was set in the rabbit speed range. With an X2 he could have ridden down to the water but we could not have. I may be picky having now gone on Segway tours in 6 cities now, but this was the worse in comparison. Was it an hour-long tour on a Segway? Yes. Yas it fun? Mostly yes. Was it as expected? No.
