Singapore City Tour

Thian Hock Keng Temple in Singapore

Your half-day Singapore city tour starts in the Civic District, where you’ll see government buildings and other landmarks such as the Parliament House, the Cricket Club, Padang sports field and the National Gallery Singapore, where the former Supreme Court Building and City Hall sit. Then stop for a view of Marina Bay and photo op of the Merlion statue, Singapore’s mythological figure that’s half-fish, half-lion.

Next, visit Thian Hock King, one of the city’s oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples, followed by a drive through Chinatown. Stop by the National Orchid Garden, part of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, which is home to 60,000 orchids of various colors and hybrids. Your last stop is the neighborhood of Little India, where you can take in the lively atmosphere and delicious scents coming out of the many Indian restaurants.

When your tour ends, you’ll have a helpful overview of the city so you can decide where you want to return later to explore in more depth on your own.

Very comprehensive tour of both land and water of New York. Tour guide and driver were both excellent.

Our Tour guide explained a lot of great facts and very organized. Even though this was a quick tour we were able to see a good amount. Enjoyed the Orchid Garden and Chinatown along with a quick stop for little Italy. I would recommend doing this one the very first part of your trip. this will allow you to get a layout of the city and see the places. you can then on your own go back to these places or if a specialized tour for 1 place is offered then you can do that.

Requires much walking - not particularly good if you are handicapped.

The tour didn't get off to a great start. Our pick up at the hotel failed to arrive, but a quick call to the office soon sorted this out and a minibus driver arrived to get us to the bus which was just starting the tour.

A very informative guide sorry, can't remember her name kept us all entertained. She was a very happy, relaxed lady - full of info about a place she obviously loves. A few stop offs at places of interest including the National Orchid Garden which to be honest we wouldn't have thought of visiting on our own but thoroughly enjoyed. Ended up going back to explore most of the stops in greater detail but a great insight if you have limited time in Singapore.

Really enjoyed this short tour of Singapore. As we were only there for a couple of days, it got us to places, eg botanical gardens, that we wouldn't have otherwise seen. Well worth the price.
