Perfect food tour and history lesson.

Gerry did a fantastic job showing us the three neighbourhoods. Along the way he gave us a history lesson of Singapore and shared his experiences living there. We stop three times to eat but the first two stops in Little India and Chinatown are where you feast. We had a wide variety of food from both places and were provided any kind of drinks that we wanted. I would highly recommend this tour.

We were only in Singapore for 2 days so decided to book this foodie tour. Our guide, Gerry was wonderful!! He grew up in Singapore so he was able to tell us some very interesting things about the culture and the 3 ethnic neighborhoods we visited. We sampled the local street foods in each neighborhood and enjoyed a variety of local beers. It was a delicious feast!! We also had the opportunity to use the subway and bus which was helpful to learn how to navigate. Gerry is very friendly and a most Interesting guide, this was a great introduction to the culture and Singaporean life!!

Had an awesome time with Gerry on this tour. The vibe was laidback and with hotel pickup/drop very very convenient. Gerry took us through 3 main areas representing the main cultures of Singapore and provided anecdotes and history for an enjoyable time. If you have never been out for street food and hawker centers overwhelm you, start your trip with this tour! Who knows, with all the info from Gerry you will be visiting some others on your own!

Wonderful tour! Our guide, Gerrymandering, was wonderful. There was a great combination of foods, as well as information and history about the neighborhoods. It's a great experience when you first get to Singapore as well because you will get great tips for the rest of your trip.

Every aspect of our tour was Fabulous. Our guide Gerry confirmed pick up time and location the day before. On tour, we sampled a huge variety of foods. My favorite was a very fresh and delicious mango lassi, and we greatly enjoyed sampling durian. Gerry was great at explaining the variety and melding of ethnicities and religions in Singapore. He also showed us historical photos of various places we visited. We traveled between neighborhoods using subway and buses, which enhanced our confidence in later using these transportation options indefinitely. “Thank you, Gerry” for a 5-star introduction to Singapore!

Wonderful historic, culinary and artistic tour

Gerry led a wonderfully informative tour of 3 ethnically distinct neighborhoods, telling us a lot about the history of each place as well as of course giving us a bountiful sampler of their food (especially Chinese and Indian). We also had the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with public art and transportation while on his tour. It was the perfect first day introduction to Singapore!

Gerry was a great guide who was very easy to get along with. He’s a true local who grew up here and his stories of the area through years are great. The food is as always amazing. Would recommend not eating beforehand since you will get food at two hawker centers and it’s a lot at both (there were four people in our tour group and we weren’t about to finish the food).

I wanted our first tour/excursion in Singapore to give us a general idea of the city, how to navigate it, and where good places to eat and visit were, and this tour provided all of that and more. First and foremost, Gerry is a native, has been there for 50 years and you can tell he not only loves this country but has build strong relationships with them as well. When visiting the Hawker centers, he was like a mini celeb, many ppl knew him which further provides autheticity to his tour. We also got to navigate the subway system (which is extremely clean and modern), and helped us save money the other days we were in Singapore. If you are looking to do a tour in Singapore, start with this one. You will get your moneys worth after the first visit to China Town. There was soo much food, we had to stop eating.

Excellent and fun tour! Gerry is a great guide who takes you to some hawker centers that most tourists would not dare try. Not only do you get to try a lot of different foods, he shares stories about what makes Singapore the city state that it is today. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing tour with Gerry. One of the highlights of our 3 week trip to Asia. So much more than a food tour - learned so much about the history and culture of the 3 neighbourhoods we visited. Then the food - oh my word! So much of it and everything was delicious. Cannot recommend this tour enough. Money and time well spent! Gerry is so knowledgeable and so much fun to spend time with!

The absolute best food & culture tour

This is much more than a great food tour. Jerry will fill you with facts and stories about Singapore but do it in such a laid back, conversational way that you won't even notice all that history slipping right on down along with all that fabulous food. You will eat at places you would not have chosen as a tourist and be amazed at how good the food is from the small "mom and pop" venders and at how comfortable you feel enjoying the dishes these humble shops offer. You will ride on the metro and wander down small streets; hop on a bus and amble through gigantic malls. This is not like any food tour you've ever taken and we would give it 10 stars if we could. The food choices are varied and delicious and we were stuffed half way through the first stop with 2 more to go. There must have been a dozen different selections in Chinatown and another dozen in Little India. We enjoyed dessert in the Malay area of Singapore. This review feels so inadequate in conveying how great this tour is but if you have a day in Singapore then this needs to be at the top of your list of things to do.

Gerry was great. He contacted me the day before the tour to verify time and pickup location. The day of the tour he contacted me again to let me know he would be a little early. His was very personable and provided great information on the area and history. The food provided quantity and quality was outstanding. What a wonderful way to be introduced to different cultural cuisines. I would do the tour again in a heart beat.

Without a doubt this was one of the best food tours we’ve ever taken. It was an authentic experience as we ate in hawker markets used by locals for over 50 years. Gerry gave us an insight into each ethnic neighbourhood and detailed the changes that time has brought to them. The food was delicious and plentiful and Gerry went out of his way to ensure anyone with dietary restrictions could still enjoy the experience. His communication before and during the tour was outstanding. If you have a free night in Singapore I would highly recommend this tour. We’ll be going again!

This tour was 10/10! Gerry made trying all the hawker center foods accessible and really easy. Rather than going on your own and trying one or two dishes, he made it possible to really get the full experience and try many things - all of which were awesome! He was also super informative about the areas and history. The best part was the fact that everywhere you went Gerry seemed to really know people which made us feel like true travels immersed in the community.
