Singapore Zoo is an absolute must-do; the animals reside in wide, open enclosures rather than cages. But for a truly memorable experience, opt for breakfast with the orangutans. You get so close to them for photo opportunities — they might even say "cheese!"
Optional upgrade: Jungle Breakfast with Orangutans
Singapore Zoo has the world's most successful orangutan-breeding program, and the largest social colony of these highly intelligent primates outside of their disappearing tropical rainforest. Don't miss the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to photograph the orangutans as they swing and climb in their naturalistic enclosure while you enjoy breakfast—an experience you'll never forget.
Head to Ah Meng Restaurant, where you’re treated to a hearty buffet breakfast of international and local favorites, including tropical fruits and juices. Then watch the zoo’s orangutan family make a spectacular entrance as they descend into an adjacent backdrop filled with vines and branches. Watch the orangutans as you dine, and enjoy their playful antics before taking your family photos with the apes. You'll also have an optional close-up visit with a reticulated python, the longest snake in the world.
The zoo is great, unlike any I've seen and the breakfast had a lot of choices!
Fantastic! a MUST DO when you come to Singapore. Everything ran smoothly with the Viator tour. Thoroughly recommended.
Great tour - our guide was amazing!
I really enjoyed this experience. It was wonderful to be so close to the Orangutang's and that I could experience this and have a photo taken. The breakfast that was supplied was lovely and with a big selection. I would do this again when visiting Singapore.
Breakfast with the Orangutans was fantastic, and the Singapore Zoo is amazing, I would highly recommend a visit to the zoo if you can.
The Zoo is reasonably well kept and the animals look healthy but sad.
Great day and would recommend to all.
This was great. The hotel pick up was on time and very friendly. The ride out to the zoo was very entertaining with a local guide keeping us amused. The breakfast was nice. There are both western and local options. Although we chose to stay on at the zoo to explore the River Safari and Night Safari you would be able to cover the zoo in the 4 hours allowed if you use the tram, I am not sure if you would get to see all the keepers talks though and animal shows.
So close to the beautiful orangutans. The Zoo was so interesting. I was sad that they had a white tiger.. all alone.. and so inbred. But the birds, monkeys and some other animals were wandering around and we got a close up view!
GREAT MORNING you get so close to every thing kids love it
