For a unique experience in Singapore, or anywhere on Earth for that matter, enjoy a Singapore Zoo breakfast with orangutans. If you choose the option, you’ll enjoy a jungle breakfast buffet in the company of a family of orangutans. These great apes are part of Singapore Zoo’s orangutan-breeding program, one of the most successful in the world. Snap pics with your new breakfast club and watch as they play around their habitat. Then take a tour of the zoo by tram to see the rest of the 3,600 animals. Not interested in breakfast? You can still purchase the zoo tour only.

  • Half-day morning tour of Singapore Zoo with optional breakfast with orangutans
  • Explore Singapore Zoo's landscaped gardens by tram and hear commentary on a variety of animals
  • Enjoy an international buffet breakfast at the Singapore Zoo’s Ah Meng Restaurant (if upgrade selected)
  • Learn about the world’s first free-ranging orangutan habitat, and have your photo taken with them (if upgrade selected)
  • Air-conditioned hotel transport included across the island to Mandai

Why Our Insiders Chose This Tour

Singapore Zoo is an absolute must-do; the animals reside in wide, open enclosures rather than cages. But for a truly memorable experience, opt for breakfast with the orangutans. You get so close to them for photo opportunities — they might even say "cheese!"

What You Can Expect

Singapore Zoo with Optional Breakfast with Orangutans

Flamingos at Singapore Zoo

This memorable wildlife experience includes hotel pickup and your Singapore Zoo entrance fee. When you arrive at the zoo, located in a northern area of Singapore, you’ll start at your buffet breakfast with the zoo’s famous orangutans, if option selected when booking (see the Itinerary for details about the breakfast). If not, enjoy free time to wander the zoo on your own before your tour begins.

When it’s time for your guided zoo tour, hop aboard an open-air tram for a journey around the zoo’s open habitats, specially designed to imitate natural wildlife environments, from the rainforests of Southeast Asia to the foothills of the Himalayas. While large animals like elephants and zebras roam a safe distance from your tram, there are other animals who may come right up to you as you ride along. There will also be stops where you can hop out of the tram to walk.

During your tour, learn about the various species at the zoo from your knowledgeable guide. The goal of the Singapore Zoo is that by the time you leave, you’ll have a new appreciation for and wonder of the planet’s fascinating creatures and their delicate habitats.

Optional upgrade: Jungle Breakfast with Orangutans
Singapore Zoo has the world's most successful orangutan-breeding program, and the largest social colony of these highly intelligent primates outside of their disappearing tropical rainforest. Don't miss the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to photograph the orangutans as they swing and climb in their naturalistic enclosure while you enjoy breakfast—an experience you'll never forget.

Head to Ah Meng Restaurant, where you’re treated to a hearty buffet breakfast of international and local favorites, including tropical fruits and juices. Then watch the zoo’s orangutan family make a spectacular entrance as they descend into an adjacent backdrop filled with vines and branches. Watch the orangutans as you dine, and enjoy their playful antics before taking your family photos with the apes. You'll also have an optional close-up visit with a reticulated python, the longest snake in the world.

Everything about the tour was excellent!!! We were on our own for a few hours with options to stay longer and add on to our tour. Meeting places and times were explained very clearly. Our very vivacious 70 year young woman guide added allot of fun!!!! I've used Viator in several Asian countries and will use them again.

This is definitely worth doing, especially if you have kids! I felt like a kid again being up close with the Orangutans and the breakfast was a good spread.
There was plenty of time after the breakfast to wander around the zoo and you are given the option to stay and make your own way back, which was explained well by our tour guide, or come back to your hotel via the coach.
A must to do if coming to Singapore, no matter what your age is

The zoo itself is much better than most I and #39;ve ever been to. In addition it and #39;s just really cool to see the Orangutans so close up. Unique experience and worth it if you have children.

Loved the breakfast with orangutans, however, we weren't collected from our hotel and it was only down to fantastic concierge service at hotel we were staying at that a minibus was sent out to pick us up over 45 minutes after we should have been collected which did put a downer on the trip as we thought we were going to miss it!
