Half-Day Tour to the Yukon Border

After pickup from Skagway port, board your mini-bus and drive along the Klondike Highway in British Columbia. Amid stunning mountain scenery, pass landmarks including Brackett Wagon Road, WP&YR railroad, Moore Creek Bridge and Pitchfork Falls. During the day, keep watch for moose, bears, birds, sheep and goats.

Ascend 3,292 feet (1003 meters) to White Pass summit, a route that thousands of stampeders journeyed in 1898 during the Gold Rush in search of fortune. Enter Tormented Valley, a subarctic alpine tundra with a beautiful lake.

Travel into northern boreal forests and stop at Tutshi and Windy Arm lakes, surrounded by towering peaks. Bonus stop at the Yukon Suspension Bridge for views of the scenic span above the Tutshi river canyon. Also available on site are restrooms, snack bar and gift shop. (Crossing of Bridge is not included or is there time to add on this option). Make a final stop at the Yukon border sign and take a souvenir photo of your shore excursion. Afterward, enjoy transport back to your cruise ship in Skagway.

I highly recommend this tour, our tour guide Brook was the best, we stopped numerous times for pictures, the beauty of this tour was absolutely gorgeous, I felt like I was looking at a postcard. She was very informative about the area. It was worth every penny spent.

it was incredible.. the best excursion we took on our Alaskan Cruise.. our tour guide was Brook.. very informed and very entertaining.. the stops were beautiful, as were just looking out the window as we drove thru.. Any question we asked, she knew the answer.. I tried to review this excursion before, but for some reason it never took.. was disappointed because really wanted to let you know this was one of the highlights of our trip.. the price was good too

Amazing. Our tour guide was so informative and also very funny. The scenery is spectacular. Had lots of stops for photo opportunities our guide turned the bus around so we could get good photos of a black bear. He brought along his own book to pass around about history of the gold rush. Brilliant.

There were four of us on this tour and we agreed that this was much better than taking the train. The driver of the van was from Scagway, which is more relevant than someone just working in Alaska for the summer. She could tell us what it was like to live in Scagway. When we saw the mama bear with her cub, the driver pulled right over and stopped so we could take photos and enjoy watching them. She understood her passengers. She managed her time well and we got to see what we had hoped to see. Taking our photos under the Yukon sign was pretty neat!

Even on a rainy day this excursion was wonderful. We got to see the grandeur of the area with some breathtaking photo stops while we listened to fun history of that area on the journey. Well worth the time and money. Tomas was a wonderful guide.
