I highly recommend this tour, our tour guide Brook was the best, we stopped numerous times for pictures, the beauty of this tour was absolutely gorgeous, I felt like I was looking at a postcard. She was very informative about the area. It was worth every penny spent.
it was incredible.. the best excursion we took on our Alaskan Cruise.. our tour guide was Brook.. very informed and very entertaining.. the stops were beautiful, as were just looking out the window as we drove thru.. Any question we asked, she knew the answer.. I tried to review this excursion before, but for some reason it never took.. was disappointed because really wanted to let you know this was one of the highlights of our trip.. the price was good too
So very pleased with this tour ,Every turn screamed ,take my picture, the scenery was incredible. I liked the fact we could get out and walk to the beach, take water from the bridal falls , take tons of photos and feel the beauty surrounding us. Our guide was very informative and fun. went above and beyond many guides. The price was great, Recommended it to ladies we met during the trip and they couldn,t thank me enough, they loved it too, we saw Alasks at it,s bet!
We were in a small van of only 10 people with a fascinating tour guide on this beautiful trip to the Yukon.
Only 9 of us on this tour. Lots of photo stops and very informative driver/ guide. Would recommend this tour.
Amazing. Our tour guide was so informative and also very funny. The scenery is spectacular. Had lots of stops for photo opportunities our guide turned the bus around so we could get good photos of a black bear. He brought along his own book to pass around about history of the gold rush. Brilliant.
There were four of us on this tour and we agreed that this was much better than taking the train. The driver of the van was from Scagway, which is more relevant than someone just working in Alaska for the summer. She could tell us what it was like to live in Scagway. When we saw the mama bear with her cub, the driver pulled right over and stopped so we could take photos and enjoy watching them. She understood her passengers. She managed her time well and we got to see what we had hoped to see. Taking our photos under the Yukon sign was pretty neat!
Excellent driver/tour guide wonderful very knowledgeable Highly recommended seen a lot of scenery
Excellent !!! Highly recommended guide/driver very knowledgeable ,definitely worth it ....it's a must to see
Even on a rainy day this excursion was wonderful. We got to see the grandeur of the area with some breathtaking photo stops while we listened to fun history of that area on the journey. Well worth the time and money. Tomas was a wonderful guide.
Our driver was wonderful! Clever, witty and funny. Knew his history of Skagway and the areas to the Yukon border. Much fun was had by all.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Beverly. We saw so much more than what train passengers could see. We made about ten stops, some planned, others that she knew we would enjoy. It was a treat to be on the Yukon, even if only for a short while. Beverly was very conscientious about the abilities of all the passengers.
It was such a wonderful experience with nature and the guide was knowledgable and very friendly explaining every aspect of vegetation and terrain all along the bus route.Would recommend this tour to family and friends.
We originally thought this was a train ride and were disappointed when we found out it was only a bus tour. However, we soon found that to be beneficial as we made several stops along the route to get out and enjoy and take pictures of the most spectacular views! Our tour guide, JJ, was very friendly, informative and entertaining! Wonderful opportunity to see authentic Alaska!
Guide was fantastic and knowledgeable and the scenery was stunning. Great value
Great time. Stopped at many of areas for pictures. Highly recommend.
This tour was exceptional. Our tour guide Brooke provided the group with in depth history along the tour and assisted in picture. Brooke was very pleasant, a joy to listen to and provided some laughs along the way. So much better then a train ride. We could get out and enjoy each stop.

Our tour guide, John Sharp, was simply THE BEST!!!!! He went above and beyond in helping me with a wardrobe malfunction I lost the sole of my shoe!!! He tracked down some shipping tape from a local vendor and - in his best Prince Charming impersonation - provided a short-term solution to my predicament, thus allowing me to thoroughly enjoy the rest of the tour with no concerns!
He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the gold fever and the tragedy of the rush, but that was not the most impressive thing about him. I mean, anybody can memorize facts and recount details, right? But John told the stories with such enthusiasm, and such passion, he was able to draw us all into the scenarios as if we were right there as they happened!! He reminded me of a little kid at Christmas, and his sheer joy in sharing his near-encyclopedic knowledge about the subject was contagious!! You couldn't help but be as excited as he was!! It was truly amazing!
To be honest, I was initially really nervous about booking a tour that wasn't through Royal Caribbean. But that concern was unwarranted. John made sure that all of his passengers were returned to their respective cruise ship in plenty of time.
THIS WAS THE BEST MONEY I SPENT ON SHORE EXCURSIONS AND I CAN'T RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY ENOUGH!!!!
Thank you, John, for a wonderful, memorable, exciting and lovely experience!!! You are truly a prince!!!!
First and foremost, I would like to thank our tour guide Thomas who it happened that he is from our place Illinois. He is really very good and everybody on the trip got a good time!
Our tour guide/driver was Tomas and he did a very good job with this tour !!
This was a great tour with lots of things to see in a relatively short time. The tour takes you up the mountain pass all the way up to the Yukon border. They stop frequently so you can walk around and take pictures. There is time to walk around at every stop, you never feel time pressured.
Brooke, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and narrated almost constantly in a very entertaining way. he helped taking pictures, and she also did some extra things to keep our 7 year old entertained.
The bus tour is better than the train, the train never stops and doesn't go that far. The cruiselines push the trains because they get half the money. This is an independent company, a lot cheaper but very well organized. They make sure you get back to the ship in time, don't let the cruise line scare you.
This tour really gives you a good idea of what the gold rush was and what the prospectors had to endure.
This was definitely the highlight of our 7 day Alaska cruise.
I think it was better than taking the train. It was personalized. Mike was great and kept the tour interesting. It was nice to take stops to take pictures.
Heidi, our tour guide was exceptional...very helpful in insuring that everyone got a picture when they wanted and making sure to take pictures of everyone all who had no one else to take their pictures. Gave lots of history and even told us about her experiences raising sled dogs and her Iditarod race experiences.
Would recommend this tour over the railroad as you get to stop along the way and see more special areas, plus this trip goes all the way to the Yukon border.
