  • See the eye-pleasing squares, streets and churches of Moribor
  • Stroll the lanes of ancient, castle-topped Ptuj
  • Visit the village of Jeruzalem, in the center of Slovenia’s wine country
  • Learn about each place's history and culture from the knowledgeable guide
  • Small-group tour with numbers limited to eight people
Meet your expert guide in front of your central Ljubljana hotel for your small-group day trip to Maribor, Ptuj and Jeruzalem. Latch your seatbelt aboard your air-conditioned vehicle and enjoy hearing about each destination’s Slovenian history as you cruise 1.5-hour to Maribor.
Arrive in Maribor and stretch your legs by strolling the stony walkways that look out over the Drava River. As you approach the large square, Glavni Trg, observe the Baroque and neoclassical architecture and the regal town hall built during the Renaissance period. Then visit the cathedral, time-worn synagogue, and the oldest grape vine on the planet. Hear how this 400-year old vine still cultivates grapes.
Stop to grab lunch before moving on to Ptuj. After a 30-minute cruise arrive in Ptuj, a small yet historic town originally settled by Celts and eventually taken control by Romans in the 1st century BC. Learn about the town’s rich culture like the 10-day long festival Kurentovanje an ancient Slavic pagan rite of spring and fertility. Then walk to the Ptuk Castle, near the Drava River, and hear about its Hungarian ancestry.
Finally journey to Jeruzalem and experience a land discovered in the Middle ages by Crusaders returning from Jerusalem. Witness the Church of Mary of the Seven Sorrows which still attracts pilgrims who pay homage. While here, notice the hills covered in grapevines. Feeling inspired, head into the village and taste some local wines (own expense). Then hop back in the shuttle and head home to your hotel in Ljubljana.

Tour guide was very professional. Jeruzalem must be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Ptuj castle was amazing. Unfortunately, Maribor cannot compete with Ljubljana for charms!

Not really worth the money, Ptuj was nice, love the stories about the town and their traditions. Went to a nice restaurant for lunch, the food was very good. The rest of the trip was a waste. The wine tasting and Maribor was a complete waste of time. The tour company took a van full of people with out a microphone we had to sit in the very back of the van and were not able to hear anything at all when the tour person talked. Complete waste of our time and money.

I had a great time and our guide was fantastic. We were a small group and she made us all feel welcome and was very informative. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Slovenia.

Usually, I wouldn't even bother rating stuff. But, our trip with Roundabout was really brilliant! We feel that we really did get the best out of this trip. Our tour guide- Spela, was very kind to us. She's very knowledgeable and passionate about her own country, and managed to entertain us throughout our whole journey at the same time. And she's very flexible with our schedule!

Maribor and Ptuj are little towns with unparalleled history of their own. The wine road in Jeruzalem was simply beautiful. As student backpackers, we still managed to savour a glass of young wine and the lovely scenery along with the rich history. Definitely recommend this tour for those who just wants a chill/ relaxing day out :
