Amazing Bulgaria in one day!

This tour is great if you want to immerse yourself deeper into the Bulgarian culture. Our guide, Vasco, is a very knowledgeable man with great passion for the history of his country. It was a small group, so connecting with the other tourists was easier. Not only I learned a lot from the amazing Bulgarian traditions but I was also able to share a bit of my Costarican culture. Old Plovdiv is just a nostalgic town, the theather is the cherry of the cake. Assen's fortess and its views are spectacular. And finally the Bachkovo Monastery was an unexpected surprise. Totally recommended. Thanks Vasco! Pura vida!

Very informative tour about places from ancient times

It was really a nice adventure and nice company as well. The guide was well educated and very knowledgeable about the places and Bulgaria overall. He had provided plenty of pieces of information that enriched our soles n minds..We had kind of chemistry among us in the trip. I believe we had something in common, maybe education and experience in life. Thank you very much and I really recommend this for new visitors to Bulgaria in the first days.

One of my most memorable tours. Diana was knowledgeable and never rushed me. Bachkovo monastery is stunning, guilded murals and a lavish iconostasis. Views around Asen's fortress are stunning. Plovdiv is built on the Roman city, the mosaic collection alone makes it worth visiting. Thank you BulTrips.

This was a really great trip. Our guide Georgi was very knowledgable about the history of the region, as well as sharing with us lots of information about Bulgarian culture, langage, history, politics, symbology of monastry artwork etc... Super informative and would definitely recommend. The sites themselves were beautiful and interesting to visit.

Rainy day in Plavdiv

Considering the weather, Daniel did the best any one could. It rained all day. A couple of the house museums were not open, to his surprise, due to a positive COVID test. He drove in the pouring rain and got us there and back safely. He’s very knowledgeable and friendly and a good driver.

Day trip from Sofia

Amazing experience with Phillip. He picked us up promptly at 0900 and we took off in a private Van to Asen’s Fortress. Beautiful view and place. After about 45 minutes we drove for 20 to Bachkovo monastery which is a must see place if in Bulgaria. Plovdiv ended the trip after lunch at a local Bulgarian restaurant. Phillip was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and very patient with our 2 year old. A great trip I would recommend anyone doing from Sofia to capture other great sites.

Our guide Adrian was knowledgeable, fun to be with and flexible. It turned out that we were the only ones on this tour so we got personal service as well! He was very considerate especially since it was a very hot day he made sure we paced ourselves accordingly without missing out on anything.
