This was a fun tour, well guided, nicely paced and full of interesting sites and historical and architectural commentary. We fully enjoyed ourselves and recommend the trip unreservedly.
A most enjoyable, almost 12-hour, trip with a very knowledgeable guide. Even the traveling time between the two sites was used to provide interesting historical background. Well worth the price! Koprivshtitsa is a village with some well-preserved original dwellings with historical connections. Plovdiv is a city with all the historical buildings and scenery one would expect to see.
Beautiful scenery and the excellent guide made this a great day trip from Sofia. The group was small and the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Martin is an excellent driver/guide. Knows Bulgarian history and the area very well. His English is excellent. We are very pleased with the trip.
An excellent tour - brilliant guide, most informative. Highly recommended.
Fantastic Tour-Guide Alex arrived in good time, very friendly and welcoming, remembered everyones names and introduced us at each pick up point. Very knowledgeable and went out of his way to help everyone. 8 of us on the tour and all very nice and interesting people.
two lovely places.
It has come to a point now that as soon as I have booked a break I go straight to Viator to see what tours are available, these guys know their stuff
it was a great tour, the tour guide speaks very good English and was very informative. We started from the old town entry and were amazed at what you saw. Plovdiv worths couple days of staying there wondering about. Koprivshtitsa is a well-preserved mountain top village, personally I would go back for a vacation of couple weeks.
Excellent value tour. Saw the historic basics of each location, and still had free time to boot. Guide was professional and informative. Recommended.
Great tour, highly recommended. We were newly arrived in Sofia, a little jetlagged from our plane trip from the U.S. plane trip, and we were looking to explore some more remote historical sites before we dove deeper into Sofia, and before we headed out to the Black Sea Coast. Our host Nik was incredibly knowledgeable and a fun guy--he provided great historical context to the amazing sites in Plovdiv and Koprivshtitsa. It was a bonus to have someone else do the driving...in a Wi-Fi equipped car. Do this tour if you're in Sofia for a few days...you'll go home with some great photos and memories, and it'll be a nice complement to your city adventures. Chris and Mary/Seattle
This caught me off guard, I did not know about this theather, it was very impressive
Nice and long trip. Any problem with viator booking and good local touroperator organisation. Polite guide. Small 5-people group made the trip very easy. Interesting two destinations to visit in one day from the capital city, recommended because Sofia is not a beautiful city and is better to choose other Bulgarian zones. The only problem is that Bulgarian people is really unfriendly, distant and never close to foreign tourists and want your money as soon as possible. Its not a safe and nice destination. Choose other country for your next trip. In Bulgaria tourists are people with an Euro as face!!!!
interesting history in both towns
guide managed to get us into a rose factory to look around
It was a good trip giving you a brief outline and lifestyle of both cities.
A good and varied day out. Plenty to see and do. Free time to explore. Knowledgeable guide. Small group of people.
very interesting and beautiful places. Drive to these places a wonderful experience.
