A very knowledgeable young guide and had an enjoyable walking tour with her, which ended with food tasting of some local delights and wine. Short and sweet :
An excellent tour with a knowledgeable, hospitable and fun guide.
This tour was a lot of fun. Our guide and the rest of the group were great to walk around with! We saw a great deal of the important sites, and some amazing food. Would recommend this tour to all!!
excellent tour by my guide. he explained very well about the buildings and statues of this hidden gem. Many photos were taken of this little gem of a city. Food tastings were excellent. Highly recommend
This was a great trip, my guide Stoyan had an incredible in depth knowledge of the history of the area that was completely fascinating for me, and we covered a lot of ground in the centre. Probably the best tour I've been on in Europe so far.
Incredible tour! I learned so much from my fantastic guide!! He was so knowledgeable and provided me with 5,000 years of history, speckled with fun facts and interesting personal anecdotes. I've been on several food tours before, and this one was definitely less focused on the food than typical ones only 2 food stops, but the guide did finish the tour at a local Bulgarian restaurant where I ended up staying for a fantastic dinner. Even though it wasn't very food-focused, it was an excellent way to spend 3 hours and gain a better understanding of Sofia.
This was a very fun tour. There were only 3 of us on the tour with the lovely guide. She showed us around Sofia and explained lots. We then went to restaurant and had shopska salad and drinkable yoghurt. We then continued on touring a bit more until we took the underground to a traditional restaurant just one stop away. Here we had a sample platter of dried meats and a glass of red wine. We then decided to stay as a group and have dinner at our own expense. We then walked back toward the city centre with the guide before we went our own ways. I would definitely recommend this tour to learn more about Sofia and have a taste of some traditional food and drink.
Excellent walking tour - be careful - cobblestone streets - hard walking - brought my breakfast - yogurt/salt/water drink, whey-based alcoholic drink and hard roll with cheese - not gourmet for sure but good to try! Super guide - archeology degree - very knowledgeable esp. all the Roman digs!
anine is a fantasty guide. she love her town.
This tour was great! It was my first tour in Sofia and it was amazing!!! Our guide was a history book and knew exactly what he was talking about it was absolutely great! All the food we tried was lovely and amazing! I do have to say that I am truly grateful that the two restaurants we went to were to helpful when it came to me because I am vegan and they were willing to prepare me a special dish so I was so grateful! This tour is a absolutely must if you are in Sofia!
