This full day event is well worth it, you will see many sites and towns that you could not see on your own using public buses. Plus you get a guided tour though the ruins of Pompeii, this is a must cause you would not want to just wonder around Pompeii without a guide.

Great way to see Amalfi coast and spend time in Amalfi. Our guide at Pompeii was terrific. We learnt so much from her. Really worthwhile doing

Great tour- the guides were knowledgable and approachable. We had different guides in Pompei vs the rest of the tour. The one we had for Pompei was especially great. I was a little disappointed that we only saw about 3 bodies, but other than that it was fascinating to see how people lived then.

Fabulous way to spend a day! We left around 8:30 am and picked up some more people from their hotels, then on to Pompeii. Visiting this place was the highlight of my 3 week trip. To stand there and to see Mt. Vesuvius such a long ways away and to know it covered Pompeii with 20 feet of ash is truly an incredible experience. Back on the bus, we drove OVER a big mountain to get to the Amalfi coast. We were interrupted once by a flock of 300 sheep crossing the road. The Amalfi coast is as beautiful as one can imagine with little picturesque villages clinging to the cliffsides and cascading down to the sea. We had lunch in one of the villages and made a few other pit stops along the narrow winding road back to Sorrento, snapping pics all the way. Our driver pointed out Sofia Loren's gorgeous home. Wow! Got home around 6:00 pm just in time for dinner. What a great day! Don't miss it.

A wonderful day. Rafael, our guide in Pompeii, did a great job of making sure we saw the highlights. He was very knowledgeable.

This was an amazing tour and a great way to fit it all in if you are short on time. The guide at Pompei was very informative and knew her stuff. The roads on the coast are very curvy and our bus driver was so safe and cautious. I felt really comfortable and safe with him at the wheel.

A beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable day. Our guide during the Pompeii excursion was tremendous and added real value to the Pompeii experience. A complete one day experience.

If there is any one thing in Italy that you must do, I would suggest that it is to visit the site of the ancient city of Pompeii. Our expectations were far exceeded. We were picked up at the hotel, driven to Pompeii on a comfortable tour bus, and led through the archaeological marvel by a fantastic local tour director. Then it was on to the Amalfi Coast. Driving the AC is an absolute MUST if you visit the Sorrento area, but you'd be crazy to drive it yourself. In fact, the tourists who DO decide to try it put everyone else on the road at risk. The Amalfi Coast towns and the views are not to be missed, but leave the driving to the professionals.

We were picked up at our hotel by Martina our guide for the day and the fun began from the moment we got into our transport. Two other travellers joined our small group and we were treated to an expresso by our driver on the way to joining a larger tour group of Pompeii. The tour of Pompeii was relaxed and a great introduction to the large site. The tour guide we were with was funny and it didn't feel too much like a route march around Pompeii and for a first visit the high light tour was great but I am unsure if you were a returning visitor this would have been the right tour for you. Once we had visited Pompeii we rejoined Martina and our driver for the drive to Amalfi with our two other travellers . Our group decided not to join the larger group for lunch but to continue to Amalfi and were happy to have a relaxed ride and a much needed rest before Martina showed us a great little pizza place in Amalfi. We invited Martina to join us along with the other two travellers and enjoyed all of their company for a relaxed bite in the perfect setting. Martina then pointed us to a little shop with the most wounderful cakes and we then enjoyed a little stroll around Amalfi for an hour before rejoining our driver for our drive back along the Amalfi drive to Sorrento. It was a special day and the tour was made by Martina and her ability to share her love of the area. We would not have missed this day and we are so glad to have shared our day with such a great guide and our driver who treated us to his Italian music and made us welcome and laugh the whole time. I could not pick a highlight of the day because the whole day was perfect.

A bit of pick up confusion the day before , but Viator did a great job helping us. A lot of time in the bus, but because of unavoidable traffic. Bus driver was excellent. Good time in Amalfi. Pompeii tour was excellent.

All in all a great day! I was staying in Sorrento so wanted to be able to visit Positano and Amalfi with ease in one day. 1 hour in positano and 2 hours in amalfi is plenty. They are beautiful places but small enough to get a good feel of the place in a short time. I had been looking forward to visiting Pompeii all my life. The tour itself and time at Pompeii was short 2 hours and really just brushed the edges of what there is to see there. If I go again I would probably like at least another hour or two there an more in depth commentary on the area.

The trip was beautiful and the views were well worth it! Loved the boat ride you can take for the additional 15 euros and the guided tour of Pompeii extra fee was fantastic! Would have liked more info and a guided tour from our guide in the 2 towns or on the bus rather than just free time. Overall it was worth it.

This tour was fun, although I wish we had more time in Pompeii and amalfi, probably better to split these attractions over 2 days. The roads are windy, if you get carsick easily, bring meds or don and #39;t go.

I enjoyed this tour but it was a shame that it was rescheduled because there wasn't enough people on the day we picked and the weather was terrible in the morning. Pompeii was the highlight of the trip - such a fascinating place and it's incredible how much still remains today. Sebastien was our tour guide in Pompeii and he was so impressive with the knowledge he has and is someone that is extremely passionate about Pompeii and what he does. We learnt so much from him in a couple of hours.

I LOVED the Pompeii portion of the tour. Our guide for the ruins was Roberta. She was very intelligent, engaging, and seemed to know all the answers to the many questions thrown at her she studied art history and archaeology and had an interesting take on everything!. Just for the Pompeii visit alone this tour was worth it.

Amalfi was beautiful, as was the 15 minutes photo stop in Positano. The beach was crowded though, so if you like us imagined spending 2-hours there relaxing you may want to think about spending your time doing something else, at least in the summer months when everyone wants to be by the water! There were boat available to rent though and lots of shopping, so overall I feel like as long as you're willing to spend a bit of money in Amalfi to keep entertained, the tour should be worth it!

Overall OK but tour is not as described. The order changed so Pompeii was in the am. We were then returned from the bus to a mini bus in Sorrento for a trip to Amalfi coast that was longer than advertised, 12 hours not 8. No time for lunch anywhere. Poor planning / communication by tour organisers

Our tour was unfortunately impacted by a bus that had its air conditioning fail just as we left Pompeii. The entire drive down the Amalfi Coast was extremely uncomfortable, which made it hard to enjoy what should have been a beautiful drive. The tour company did have another bus come down for the return trip, which helped. The Pompeii portion of the tour was great, with a very good local tour guide. The Amalfi portion of the trip was not a good experience.
