4 star rating: Recommended September 2016

Would have given 4 if that was possible. We all enjoyed Paestum very much but the stop in Salerno was too short. An hour was only long enough for a brief tour of the cathedral and a short stroll on the promenade. No time to explore the interesting looking back streets. The temples at Paestum were really good. The museum was OK perhaps less time here would have allowed more time in Salerno. The tour guide was very good.

3 star rating: Worth doing December 2016

Our pickup point was at the Sorrento bus station. We had a bit of difficulty finding the right group for our tour bus which was a tad bit delayed in arriving as there were a LOT of other groups there, waiting for various tours. I suggest that the tour coordinator at the station get appropriate signage since there were a lot of folks like us, not sure which group to join. We eventually did get on the correct bus and it was lovely. Good trip on the coast road with the naturally beautiful views. Salerno was okay another beautiful and interesting church but would have preferred a walking tour of historic city was it all destroyed in WWII??. On to Paestum and a lovely lunch at the restaurant on site. Paestum is a must see for anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast. With all of the seismic activity over the centuries, it is incredible how intact the temples are. Our guide was excellent and we enjoyed his narrative. We recommend this trip.
