What You Can Expect

Sorrento Farm Experience Including Tastings, Pizza Making and Limoncello

Learn how to make traditional Italian pizza

Meet your guide at your Sorrento hotel and drive to local farm Limoneto Storico 1894. Hear about the farm's history and production while you stroll through the olive and citrus trees. Afterward, treat your taste buds to samples of sugar-coated lemons, lemonade, orange oil on fresh artisan bread, and extra virgin olive oil.

Continue to a cheese factory, where you'll sample local provolone, complemented by salami and a glass of vino. Get an inside look at how the soft cheese of caciotta is made, as well as treccia, similar to a braided mozzarella.

Then, learn how to make a pie like a real Neapolitan. Travel to the historic center of Schiazzano for a pizza-making lesson from an expert instructor. Get the doughy crust just right before feasting on your creation, followed by coffee and a homemade dessert.

Top off your culinary tour with a limoncello liqueur back at Limoneto Storico 1894. Listen in on the secrets behind the family recipe for the popular after-dinner drink.

Lovely afternoon exploring a local grove, cheese making farm and making pizza. Warm families make the most of this tour as they share what makes their products amazing, fresh and organic. Start to finish this was 1st class and was our teenage children's favorite tour in our 17 day trip.

Brilliant day out and something different. The ride in the little cars was hilarious ! Learnt lots about lemons and how they grow which was fascinating and tasted excellent olive oils and limoncello. The cheese factory was amazing and trying all the cheeses and wine was great. Then making our own pizzas was great fun. The tour guide Claudia was lovely and very entertaining. Would recommend this trip. We took our teenage boys and they loved it too.

This tour was fantastic! We chose this because it combined a variety of experiences we were interested in during our time in Sorrento. Not only did we taste limoncello but we walked through the beautiful groves from which the lemons came and met the grove owners. Next came the dairy farm where our entertaining host, Benedetto, demonstrated how to make ricotta, mozzarella and provolone cheeses. We tasted all these paired with a delicious red wine. In addition we had the pleasure of seeing the cows and meeting Benedettos cats and dogs. We finally understand the Italian obsession with good mozzarella. The day ended by making our own pizzas and then sitting down to a meal filled with conversation and laughter. A big shout out for our guide, Claudia, who was informative and funny.

Our group of 2 adults , 2 20 yr olds and a 9 yr old girl all thought it was the best , authentic , friendly tour ! My daughter had her heart set on seeing some animals ( not so much into the discussion that adults loved ) she said it was the best day of our 12 day trip ! Highly recommended!

This is the best booked trip we have done on almost any holiday. Claudia our host was so friendly, funny, knowledgeable and attentive. The lemon farm was incredibly interesting and pretty. The cheese farm was hilarious and delicious. The Pizza making was the most fun we've had in years. Every person on our tour was so happy to show us their homes and restaurants and so proud to serve us with lots and lots, and I mean lots of local foods and Limoncello and Wine and Cheese. You won't believe the transport between farms, it was an experience. It was a 5 hour tour that flew by and getting to make and eat our own pizza at the end was a treat. Cannot recommend this tour enough but would say if you do partake in alcohol, take the later trip as you may be slightly tipsy after the tour. Go if you have the time.

This tour was fun and informative - best of both! The cheese making process and farm was so interesting. Meeting the multiple families who actually make the cheese, olive oil, limoncello and pizza was the best. And ending the day making and throwing pizza dough was a lot of fun. This small village seems to really enjoy what they do and were willing to share it with us. And the tour guide was so sweet and added a lot of fun and humor. Well worth it!
