This was the BEST tour on our trip! The families that own the farms were great! I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Sorrento area
This tour was just perfect! The families were lovely and made you feel right at home and Claudia the tour guide was there to tie it all together. We had a small group under 8 and the intimate setting was so nice. Getting between farms was a blast and trying all the fresh cheeses, limoncello, olive oil, etc. was amazing. They give you lots to eat and drink, you will not be leaving hungry! We would do this tour again if we could!
This was by far the BEST day tour we did on our 5 weeks in Italy. It was fun and interesting, we were captivated by the different people we met at the farm, the cheese maker and the pizza experience. Our tour guide Claudia was GREAT!!! Trust me, treat yourself to this tour. You won't be disappointed. 10 out of 10!!
Do not miss this! The most memorable part of our week in Sorrento. You will not regret meeting Claudia or Benedetto! Tour the lemon groves, go to an organic cheese farm and make your own pizza in a lovely restaurant. Loved it!
Had a great time touring a lemon grove, sampling lemoncello, learning how to make mozzarella, sampling the delicious cheeses and making our own pizzas. The families at each stop were wonderful, and our tour guide Klaudia was outstanding. A great way to spend a Saturday morning. Would highly recommend.
Originally thought the price was high, but a friend had taken same tour and loved it. So did we. Tour group was small and our guide,Claudia, was knowledgeable, fun, and bi-lingual. Explained organic lemon farming --saw several 200 plus year old trees explained different techniques in limoncello making Locally made limoncello was excellent.. Full, smooth lemon taste throughout with no alcohol finish. Best we tasted in Italy. Cheese making was also informative. Benedicto explained how organic cheese making began with highly certified and inspected cows, showed 12-15 ingredients scientifically mixed for feed. Lots of education and University input. Used whey to make cheese for us. Stamped provolone was delicious. Pizza making was fun, particularly when the chef threw our flatten dough 10 ft to each of us. Between locations we enjoyed riding on their farm Ferrari-a three wheeled truck-through very narrow alleyways with little clearance. All together it was a very enjoyable day and worth the price.
This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! We loved every minute of it right down to the small town experience traveling in the tiny cars down the extremely narrow streets! Claudia our tour guide was fantastic! She was funny, informative and did an excellent job of connecting our group! The pizza, the cheeses, the limoncello, homemade wine and the olive oil were all excellent! We were stuffed by the end of the night! I highly recommend this tour.
We had such a wonderful time! This a great tour, please try it but know you will be full! You get so much food and information on this tour, that is was amazing and fun at the same time. Worth every penny!!!!
My husband, two friends, and I had the best time the evening we spent on this tour. We learned a lot, we sampled great cheeses, limoncello and other foods, and learned to make and flip our own pizzas at a local pizzeria. So many laughs! I booked this because it was our wedding anniversary - and the memories will remain very special for all of us. A grand experience, in every way. Can't recommend it highly enough. One of the best experiences of our three-week trip.
This was a highlight of our time spent in Sorrento. Our guide was a delight, and the witty banter between her and the cheese and pizza makers was a treat. The limoncello was the best we had our whole trip, the cheese was to die for and the pizza making was so much fun. If you can, take this tour.
I went with our family of 4. Ages 15, 18 and my husband and I. We all loved it. Great fun from start to finish and educational too.
Absolutely brilliant! We had so much fun with Claudia, Benedetto and the families over the course of the day. Highly recommend to everyone.
Such an awesome tour. Got to visit the lemon farm, then see how cheese is made, and end with delicious pizza making. So much food! An amazing experience.
In our ten years of international travel, this tour will go down as our favorite! Why? It was memorable, fun, educational, exciting, and all around PERFECT! We started our rainy day with Claudia who is a photo-bombing delight. We toured the Lemon grove, learned loads and then were treated to Olive Oil and bread treats at the home of Mario and Rosalia. The wild ride up to Benedetto's farm in the Mo-Ped taxi truck was awesome. The personal tour of the farm and cheese making seminar made us feel like celebrities on tour. And then, just when it couldn't get any better, we traveled to the local restaurant to make pizzas all recorded for our viewing enjoyment by the beautiful Claudia. We will be talking about this one for years to come. Every host on our tour made us feel like special family. We are a couple in our 60's. It is an outstanding tour for young and old alike.
This is an absolute must do! We visited the home of Mario and Rosalia and their olive and lemon groves . We learned so much about the lemons, olive oil, and limoncello sampling all. We then went on to the local cheese maker's home where we watched him make mozzarella, ricotta and basket cheese. We sampled all of that plus provolone and wine. We finished at a local pizzeria where we assembled our own pizzas with of course more wine and popular Italian music. It was the best tour we did all week. You will be guaranteed laughter the entire time from the tour guide Claudia. She is so knowledgeable and makes it interesting and oh so fun!
BEST TOUR EVER! We have never had so much fun on a tour in our lives. As no one else booked our time, it ended up only being my wife and I, and as it was our honeymoon it made it feel extra special. Benedicto - the cheesemaker- picked us up from our hotel in his car and took us to meet our guide, Claudio at the lemon grove. Once there, she gave us some history of the lemons and the family that owns them - who we got to meet while trying 7 kinds of fresh olive oil - also made on the farm - and learning about limoncello.
Afterwards, the 4 of us drove to Benedicto's farm where we met some of his family, saw the cows and learned all about how to make a few different types of cheese. All of which we sampled heavily. From there, we took a ride in a 3-wheeler car -- SO FUN -- to the pizza restaurant where we heard in English and Italian how the pizza and dough are made. The pizza maker was so lively and his family was so friendly. They let us toss the pizza all around which made for some of the best photos of our trip. We got to eat our creations just us two in this gorgeous old-world taverna. It was actually the best pizza we've ever had in our lives. Seriously, book the tour just to eat it. It's hard to put into words how much we enjoyed our day on this tour. It was definitely the best of our entire honeymoon!
The tour was so much fun. Claudia and Co. were friendly and very informative. You felt as though you were with old friends. Our group really bonded and we had the best time with such lovely people. Our teenage sons had a great time tasting all the different foods and making pizza together .
This experience was one of our favorite family memories. We loved the farms, the tour guides and the local families who participated in this experience. We tasted amazing food, learned so much about growing lemons and olives and the history behind it, made pizza, and learned about the process of making cheese from beginning to end raising cows to getting the milk. It was so nice to see how peaceful and simple life is for these very warm, friendly people of Massa Lubrense.
We recommend this excursion for anyone wanting to do something a little different. Learning about local produce, watching cheese made before our eyes, making pizza with an expert pizza chef....it was so much fun! Not fancy, just authentic. True Italian hospitality.
Interesting tour with a lot of action - one of the best tours we did!
Had an amazing time! So much food and so much fun! Should not be missed when traveling to this area. I highly recommend this tour.
