What To Expect

Start with your pickup from the meeting point in Split or Trogir, then begin the trip to Plitvice Lakes National Park: your guide shares some background about the park and Croatia along the way, and you have scenic views of the countryside throughout the trip.

Upon arrival in Plitvice Lakes National Park, stretch your legs on a hike through the forest, following the guide on a trail to the park’s upper lakes. Hop in a boat at the lakes for the ride to the lower lakes, or Donja Jezera, a picture-perfect cluster surrounded by thick trees.

The national park is the perfect place to see geology in action, as the rivers and streams that flow through the Plitvice Lakes continue to shape the karst formations and rock landscape visible during your tour. After visiting the park, it is time for an optional lunch in a nearby local restaurant.

This tour concludes with a return trip to Trogir or Split.

Please note; the itinerary may be adjusted due to the traffic, flooded trails, or bad weather conditions in the park.

Great day getaway from Split!
Candace_D, Nov 2021
Great tour with an equally great guide :) Everything is absolutely worth seeing. Took this tour in late August/early September.
Plitvice Lakes Tour.
Gerald_J, Sep 2021
We had a very nice, energetic guide who encouraged us to complete a long and very beautiful hike. We first rode a small boat across a lake, then walked up a series of drop-dead glorious waterfalls. At the top, we boarded a bus that took us back near where we started. From there we walked down a beautiful sky blue river and saw more waterfalls. At the bottom, we climbed up a sig-sagging trail to our waiting mini-bus. It was a lovely hike, but do not expect a running commentary on the local geology, biology, anthropology, etc.
Worth the early start!

We had a wonderful day on this trip. The lakes and waterfalls were stunning. The colour of the water was beautiful- very clear and turquoise blue. It is an early start and a long day but definitely worth it. Toni and Andrei were both very friendly and Toni very knowledgeable. He gave us plenty of time to wander at our leisure and to take photos. We never felt rushed. We started at the top lake and walked down which saved us the uphill walk and also meant we went against the flow that most of the large groups were taking which meant we weren't held up by them. The group size was small as advertised which was great. The restaurant stop at the end was nice and reasonably priced. Great day all round- one of our highlights of our trip.
A MUST !!!!

What a wonderful trip! If you are in Croatia this has to be on your list . I’ve traveled 65 countries and 5 continents and this is definitely in fop 5 most beautiful places . This company and also the guide and driver did an excellent job !!
Excellent trip worth the cost.

Great guide with awesome local information throughout the day. Made sure everyone had time to take pictures and experience the sights at your own pace. Tony was funny and I would recommend that everyone ask for him.
A Beautiful Croatian Gem
Venell_D, Sep 2021
Our tour guide Tony was informative with history and fun facts. Our driver, Andre, safely drove our small group of about 12 people. Plitvice is certainly one of mother nature's gems. Large national forest with what seem to be countless waterfalls, some very grand in volume of water to smaller falls allowing for a closer view. Impressive trails throughout the park lead throughout the park. The trails we took did not require hiking, simply walking, and observing the beauty and serenity of this experience. Viator offers a wonderful experience, at a reasonable price. Tony, our tour guide was gifted with relevant information. The experience was fun and I will cherish it for life!

Paul_S, Sep 2021
Great tour! Having a guide made it so easy to navigate through the park and the restaurant we went to after the park served authentic, country-side Croatian food, exactly what we were looking for.
Great trip!!
