Britannia Mining Museum is a Must
Joy_B, Mar 2023
I took my 3 grandchildren ages 10, 12, and 16. We all thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Their Favorite was the last part the Boom. It was so well done and we all said we would like to go again. This is right in our doorstep as we live in Squamish and drive past all the time but have never gone in. Why? Should have gone before but now we will. Great place and all is very well done. Thank you all for all your hard work
Worth going to the Mine!

Boom and under ground tour we’re very interactive, fun, and educational, even for my teenagers. We loved everything! Was one of the best “museums” I’ve been to.

Wonderful experience! This is more than a museum, the tunnel ride and light show at the end of the tour was great. Our guide Kate was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I recommend this tour for all ages.

okay
Wendy_M, Jul 2022
was a better experience for kids than the adults ... story was good, activities were limited, the train into the mine was extremely short and daylight was always visible

The tunnel was so cool, wish you could go a bit deeper in there but safety first. Loved learning about the mines as I didn’t know much at all about them before.

A fun history

A valuable insight into the history of this area. The hardships and the isolation of the community was evident, and the devastation when the mine was closed.

It was a great chance to talk about mine in the 20th century with my kids. A gentle, awesome guide welcomed us and told about his story in the town during the train tour. Thank you!

The underground tour was very informative and fun, especially the train ride. Gift shop is nice but service could use a bit of improvement 🤔. All in all, a great place to visit 👍
Surprisingly impressive!
Lana_D, Aug 2020
Allow two hours to really enjoy all the information. Precook you’re tour or the underground tour may be booked. Nice mix of activities and static displays. Don’t miss ‘Boom’ You will leave with new understanding of what we use everyday that is one Ted to mining. Gift store is beautiful!
enjoyed our day
KathyHibbs, Jun 2019
we enjoyed our trip to the mine and the new BOOM show. Our 11 yr old grandson also really enjoyed it and we all learned a lot. We were surprised to learn how many of our everyday items contain copper and other mined minerals. It was also meaningful as I have a family member who worked on the mines in the 1920-30's.
