What To Expect

Under the cloak of darkness, greet your guide outside of the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse and receive a spine-tingling overview of St. Augustine’s rich history: as one of the oldest cities in America, St. Augustine hides numerous skeletons in its proverbial closet.

Your first stop are the old city gates, to listen to tragic and traumatic tales dating as far back as the 17th century. See, too, Tolomato Cemetery, an ancient funeral parlour, and Spanish Street, shrouded in mysteries surrounding St. Augustine’s first settlers.

In the courtyard at St. George Inn, you’ll stand on top of human remains and hear of how the local community endured terrible events in order to thrive in the present day.

Entertaining Ghost Lore

I take ghost tours for fun and the story telling. She was a great storyteller and had us all entertained. Others in the group really believed and she gave them what they were looking for as well.

Hippie did an amazing job on our tour. He was very knowledgeable and animated. His stories were very engaging, and he led us through some of the most “active” parts of St Augustine. Well worth the money.

Apparently we had a legend as far as story telling goes in these parts with Dion. He has been in the business for many years and it showed. Extremely talented, well versed, knowledgeable and tact with his southern accent and confidence works well with his dress for the part. Every other guide we passed greeted Dion with respect that was quit noticeable. We felt the tour was a good value and fit perfect into our schedule. The tour began in front of this ticketing booth and Dion was a master at keeping things on schedule without any feeling of being rushed. Wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the history.

There was a severe thunderstorm at the time of our tour. The advertisement said we would receive a refund or a rescheduled tour in the event of bad weather. I contacted the host about rescheduling, but got no response.

Our host was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and his stories were excellent! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who would like some history of St. Augustine that you wouldn't find anywhere else.

Three of us including one college student enjoyed Dion’s tour with multiple scary tales of the old city. Great way to spend the evening after a busy day. I am local and had a great time, would recommend.

It was a ghosted tour alright

So we booked Saturday morning. Got a confirmation text and email. Showed up Sunday at 7:20 pm. We were told we weren't even in the system for any tour that evening. I gave her my phone and showed her the confirmation. She did offer for us to go on a later tour that night. We declined. I was told we'd get a call back, so far we have not. Today I got a text for me to share my experience from the tour, so here it is.

It was just ok. The guide was very personable and involved the audience. However, there weren’t a lot of what I would consider ghost stories - more of a history lesson. He showed us a couple of photos that supposedly were taken by other tour guests, but I was able to find them in the internet later.

Hippie was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. He shared stories and stopped to answer questions. It was a very engaging tour and we were quizzed to see if we were learning. We all had a great time and learned a lot. I highly recommend this tour.

"Hippie" you are very knowledgeable and I like that you're a paranormal investigator. Very articulate, personable and engaging with our group. You made us part of history by having us picture ourselves in a couple of the historical events. My daughter was here from our if town and really had a good time. I wished it were longer and it was a 90 min tour!

Very informative. Our guide, Hippie is a great story teller and and knows his history and then some. Great stories and he has a true passion for his work. Through his story telling we felt like we were right there back in time and we were definitely keeping an ere out for the ghosts!
