This was a pleasant 3 hour tour of St. Kitts with a well informed guide who told us of the history and present day activities. We saw breathtaking views of the coast as well as a visit to a batik factory and a closed sugar plantation once owned by the descendents of Thomas Jefferson. We elected not to go to the fort due to mobility issues and were transferred to another car to return to town after a drive to a photo viewpoint.
This tour gave us exactly what we were looking for. The driver took us on a tour of the island that showcased the gorgeous landscape as well as the urban centre and the new developments. He was willing to stop anywhere for photo opportunities and pointed out all the landmarks clearly. The Batik stop was very impressive and should not be missed! The tour guide was very well informed and answered all questions without hesitation or question. We had some very loud and disruptive guests on our tour and he handled them with grace. I would recommend this tour to get the whole island experience.
Really enjoyed how at home the guides made you feel, had a great coverage of the island, and some time for extra shopping [Very important for the wife's happiness]
An excellent trip that gives a good overall view of this small island. SQ, our super driver , pointed out places and things of interest as we went along. A good excursion to see a lot in a short space of time.
Outstanding! Jermon is very entertaining and knowledgeable, tour design is super efficient. I would highly recommend this one: pick up from pre-arranged spot on time, plenty of stops for pictures, snacks and bathroom breaks, very carefully thought through route of travel. The island is true gem of the Caribbean
we absolutely loved this excursion. We got a complete tour of this beautiful island. We loved what we saw so much that we're going to go back to ST. kitts for a week next year. Our tour guide was a wealth of information. We really can' single out a specific part of the tour because we loved everything about it. we've always had great tours through viator and they are much cheaper than booking thru the cruise line.
Great tour, driver was most helpful too. Gardens at the batik are fabulous
Wonderful tour of the Island, I really enjoyed seeing all parts of the Island.
For those interested in this tour and are wondering what the other reviewers are taking about when mentioning SQ, on St. Kitts, everyone has a nickname. Our tour guides nickname is SQ aka smooth and quiet. SQ was is good tour guide giving you all the interesting information you'd expect to learn. Besides visiting the key locations of Brimstone Hill Fortress and Romney Manor, SQ pointed out many other buildings and locations with facts that we're very interesting and not called out on this tour description. The views are epic! The timing spent at Brimstone Hill and Romney Manor was adequate for regular tourists, but as a photographer, I would've have like to spend a much longer time. I would visit these locations again.
SQ was a careful driver, even though they drive on the wrong side joke. We are especially thankful to SQ for pulling over for us on a small strip of clean beach to collect some of the black sand indigenous to the island to take back home.
Thanks SQ for the fun time!
SQ was a gentleman and safe driver. Check in was a breeze. The fortress has exceptional views and is not to be missed! The Viator tour is priced below what my cruise charges, so book through Viator instead of through your cruise!
Brimstone Hill is a must see. They show a 10 minute video about the fort when you get there but that uses up a lot of your time. We skipped the movie--- they have displays throughout the fort that explain the history. As it was we didn't get to see everything.
Very well organized. Such a beautiful island - its worth taking a tour. The drivers and guides really cater to tourists and make you feel welcome. Beautiful beaches!
Brilliant and memorable trip. SQ was a lovely young man with excellent local knowledge. The Batik factory was a riot of bright colours.
Beautiful Island with a dramatic coastline.
Well worth the cost....it was very reasonably priced.
Would highly recommend it.
Wow, SQ was an amazing tour guide on St Kitts, his knowledge and history of the island made our experience one of the best!
Everything worked like clockwork, the rep was in the right place at the right time the luxury cab was waiting. As with St. Lucia only my wife and I were booked on the trip and it was fabulous, again everything as per the advert but again enhanced by the driver/guide who went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our experience and his island. Would highly recommend Viator and will definitely be using them again. I was apprehensive about using and prebooking our trips but Viator made our holiday a much more enjoyable experience.
Our trip was great. The guide was very friendly and informative. He made the tour ours.
Great excursion. Juny was a well informed and personable guide who was intent on helping us appreciate the beauty of the island.

SQ the tour guide was good, nothing much about the island except the fort was great, nice view
The tour representative was easily identified at the pier. Our tour guide was informative and entertaining. The country is beautiful and this particular tour really allowed us to get a flavor of St. Kitts. I highly recommend this tour.
Our driver, who told us to call him SQ, was excellent and very knowledgeable. The ladies decided SQ stood for super cute. The island ride was beautiful and we saw all the most important spots. The fort had fantastic views. A great excursion from our ship!

The tour meets at the port but the guide does not arrive until approx 30 minutes before the start of the tour so be patient. The van is comfortable and air conditioned. A relatively quick drive through town on our way to the Romney Manor/Batik Factory. The Manor and grounds have been beautifully restored and are plenty of spots for some great photos. The Batic Factory is a small building demonstrating how the shirts are made and there is a store to purchase the shirts and dresses. About one hour is provided for this stop.
As you travel to the Brimstone Hill Fortress the guide will point out some of the MANY churches on the island and provide interesting information about the island as well. About 45-60 minutes is allotted to see the fortress which is about enough time to go into the fortress but not really enough time to actually read all of the information in the fortress. You do have time to see everything but you must keep moving on your self guided tour of the fortress.
After the fortress we stopped along the ocean at a spot with vendors of food and merchandise. This stop was about 30-45 minutes which was more than enough time. We also saw where the Caribbean sea meets the Atlantic Ocean, very interesting.
Upon return to the port there is enough time to walk around downtown for a bit and to get a bite to eat. The restaurant we ate at had very slow service and the food was just OK. The food offered by a local street vendor was MUCH better and extremely reasonable in price. I wish we would have seen the street vendor first.
This shore excursion is certainly worth the price and a good way to see many parts of the beautiful island.
