Following pickup at your hotel in Castries or Soufrière, transfer to a powerboat and cruise down the coast of the island to the Anse Chastanet Resort, a trip which takes just under an hour.
The luxurious resort has over 400 acres (162 hectares) of tropical forest on its grounds and faces the volcanic sand beaches of Anse Mamin and Anse Chastanet. Head for the biking departure point in the forest behind Anse Mamin, where you'll get a safety briefing and orientation before being fitted for a helmet and a Cannondale F800 Lefty suspension bike. Shimano SPD clipless pedals are available at no extra cost. Hop on your bike and practice riding in the nearby orientation loop before setting off into the forest.
The trails are varied for all experience levels, from novice to BMX-style expert. You'll ride through lush jungle and inhale the scents of breadfruit, citrus and mango trees. Watch out for the ruins of a colonial sugar plantation among the trees.
When you've finished your bike workout, west your weary legs during lunch at the Jungle Beach Bar & Grill. As you eat, enjoy one of the island's most spectacular views.
Then it's time to snorkel. Listen as your guides give a short safety talk and orientation to the area, then don the provided gear and jump in. Depths ranging from 20 to 140 feet (6 to 43 meters) are home to various types of tropical fish, crustaceans and coral.
After snorkeling, take the opportunity to shower and hit the beach one last time before enjoying transportation back to your hotel.
