During your time in port, visit the charming town of Soufriere on this 5-hour guided tour. The quaint settlement is nestled in the shadow of the island's most famous landmarks, the volcanic Pitons. Travel through leafy tropical rainforests, quaint coastal fishing villages and fruit-filled banana plantations. Stop at Sulphur Springs to experience the world's only drive-in volcano, then visit the lush Diamond Botanical Gardens for views of the Diamond Waterfalls.
Following pickup at the St Lucia cruise port, board a comfortable vehicle and set off on the island's west coast road toward Soufriere.
As you drive, watch the tropical island scenery out the windows: charming fishing villages, leafy tropical vegetation and coconut and banana plantations.
Upon arrival in Soufriere, admire the island's most famous landmark, the majestic Pitons, looming above. These twin peaks, named a World Heritage Site, are both over 2,000 feet (700 meters) tall and were formed by volcanic activity.
Stop at the world's only drive-in volcano to see the island's Sulphur Springs, bubbling up from the ground. Continue on to the Diamond Botanical Gardens, home to the famous warm mineral waterfalls, Diamond Falls.
At the conclusion of your excursion, enjoy the scenery on the trip back to the cruise port.
As in many of our Viator tours, the group had only four travelers. Our guide showed the many different aspects of the island. The most informative part of the tour was the visit to a banana plantation where we learned how the fruit was nurtured from sprout to packing for their trip to England. We experienced the sights, sounds and smells of the beaches, mountains, volcanoes, gardens, waterfalls, and Pitons of this lovely and friendly island. Although we had some delicious island bread, We felt the tour could have been extended 45 minutes to include a time to grab a snack or lunch. S and C

the driver was funny and knowledgeable, made impromptu stops that were a delight. picked us up on time and got us back in time, A great tour overall.
Very comprehensive. Great guide. Just a little bumpy on the roads back.
We had a terrific time on this tour. Sammy, our driver, was fun and friendly, filling us in on all the interesting sites and history of St. Lucia. In our van of 7 people, we traveled the very windy roads of St. Lucia, stopping at a banana plantation to taste "hot-off-the-bush" bananas - sweet and yummy. We also stopped in a local village where Sammy picked us up some delicious hot local bread. The sulfur springs were interesting, if not a bit smelly. It was fascinating to dip our hands in the creeks running with warm/hot water. And the botanical gardens were fantastic. Even the rain clouds couldn't put a damper on that visit. We had a wonderful day and got a good taste I think of what St. Lucia and it's friendly people are all about. My only recommendation would be to add an hour to the trip and allow a stop for lunch in a local restaurant. The trip was a bit long to not have a meal stop.
No one at the docking point knew about the tour. It time to sort out where the tour organizer was and how we were going to get to the river tubing area. The driver was very friendly and knowledgeable and the stops he made were interesting. However, for the distance travelled, the tubing was short lived and a snooze, but refreshing. The tubing guides and managers were friendly and contentious. The guy with the punch really limited the amount he shared and took off once everyone had gotten serve. It would be good to add some celebration, perhaps some food and certainly more or a stop along the tubing area for a picnic and music.
