Enjoy a private tour of St Petersburg's Hermitage—one of the largest museum's on the planet—then follow it up with a traditional 3-course Russian meal. Use your admission ticket to peruse the world's largest collection of paintings and explore the Hermitage's vast exhibition halls, taking in works by Rembrandt, Picasso, Goya and Van Gogh as you go. See sculptures by da Vinci and wander among extravagant state rooms offering insight into Russian history. Afterward, savor a lunch of national cuisine (think beet borsht and fish) accompanied by a complimentary vodka shot.
Was excellent and tour guide was very cordial and knowledgable
This tour will take you to parts of the Hermitage cruise ship passengers don't normally reach. We saw all the artefacts from ancient times with an excellent guide who was friendly, courteous and very helpful. We had four hours in the Hermitage without a break - if we did it again, we would ask for a coffee break half way through! Saw the Rembrandts without a crowd. Very nice lunch at a nearby restaurant afterwards.
A beautiful collection of buildings whose content was just delightful. I particularly loved that each room was decorated uniquely - the frescoes and ceilings were a true delight.
The best of St. Petersburg. This was a great tour. Our guide, Irene, was knowledgeable about the art and the history of this building and it was very interesting. Also recommend booking this tour just for the group access, group cloak room and no lines. You want to spend as much time as possible within the walls of this building not waiting. Lunch at NEP was nice. We had our own private room where we could discuss all the beauty we had just seen.
The guide was very good, and had a wonderful understanding of the art in the museum and the history of the building. It would have been better to be able to spend more time in the museum, especially because it was very crowded. we felt very rushed because of the obligation to get to an indifferent lunch at a restaurant where the wait staff made it very apparent they wanted us to eat quickly and go away. If friends ask for a recommendation I will suggest a tour that does not include a lunch.
