St Petersburg Shore Excursion: Private City Cruise and Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood Tour

See the famous Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood

Greet your private guide at a central St Petersburg location and climb aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan destined for the city center. Listen as your knowledgeable guide offers insight into the historical heritage of the city, and then climb aboard your awaiting boat for a scenic sightseeing tour.

Cruise past majestic palaces and golden-domed churches as you sail the Moyka and Fontanka rivers. Allow your attention to be directed to significant sights like the Field of Mars, Anichkov Bridge, St Isaac’s Cathedral and the University of St Petersburg.

Return to dry land and hop into a minivan heading towards the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, a breath-taking monument considered one of St Petersburg’s most impressive. Steeped in legend, the lavish structure was built upon Tsar Alexander’s assassination site and boats opulent golden domes typical of 17th-century Russia.

Head inside to marvel at the structure's marble interior and glittering gold mosaics, and then revitalize with a traditional lunch at your own expense. Sated, venture to a local handicraft market to browse stalls replete with artisan treasures; purchase special souvenirs like lacquer boxes, matryoshka dolls and woollen shawls before returning to the port in advance of your cruise ship’s departure.

My husband and I took this tour in St. Petersburg Russia July 30th 2015.Came in on a cruise ship Well, let me tell you, I was so impressed with this company and more impressed with the young lady Tatiana who was our guide and her driver Andrew. There was another young lady waiting for us till Tatiana got there. Tatiana spoke English very well and she was a wealth of information about the history of St. petersburg. The Canal trip was absolutely beautiful and the Church on the spilled blood was something I will never forget! Included in our tour was a shopping excursion we did not due.We were doing a shopping excursion with the cruise ship the next day So Tatiana took us to Peter and Paul fortress. We had the BEST TIME with her and cant stop praising this tour we took! What a remarkable young woman she is! This ended up being a private tour Tatiana, Thank you soooo much for showing us the best time!

This was an excellent tour it was very well organised, the booking process was easy and included our visas. We were picked up from the ships terminal on time, the process was smooth and efficient. The van was clean and in a excellent condition, we also received bottles of complimentary water. Our tour guide Elena spoke excellent english and was very knowledgeable, entertaining and interesting. She was very professional and ensured the tour kept to time and our driver, Dimitri (Vlad) was very friendly and polite. We saw a lot of St Petersburg the canal cruise and a visit to the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood was a highlight and did not disappoint. Our party of four had a great time we all thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Highly recommend this tour.
