Little disappointed because several stops were no longer get part if the day due to rough waters. Eduardo and Cam as our mates made up for it. Captain Braysin with a “B” as he made clear several times, had no personality and it seemed like he was doing us a favor. Personally, I would not spend my day with him again.

Great Excursion, But Eat Before/Bring Snacks.

    , Mar 2020
Okay, the trip is definitely worth it! However, they don't really provide snacks or breakfast. Breakfast is a half of a muffin and a cup of orange juice. I've noticed this criticism on a couple other reviews, so I do hope that the crew improve this. The itinerary wasn't really clear to me, so for those considering the trip, here is what you should expect: 1) STT--> Virgin Gorda, takes about an hour and half by boat (which is like a large speed boat). Bring long sleeves or a zip-up sweatshirt because if it's not sunny, or even if it is, it can get cold on the boat and you will get blown from the wind. You will give your passports and the $75 customs fee to the crew and they take care of customs for you. Don't be worried about doing this. It actually saves the whole group a lot of time and you will get your passports back after swimming at Soggy Dollar (see below) at Jost Van Dyke because you'll need them at St. John. 2) Arrival at Virgin Gorda. It's a group hike for about 1.25 miles. It's totally worth it and the perfect amount of time You stop at Devil's Bay and then hikes the caves. You'll be in knee deep water, so bring footwear and clothing that can get wet. Wear your bathing suit/swimming trunks underneath in case you want to go swimming, which I highly recommend. The less you carry with you the better. I only brought my phone to take pictures with. I'd recommend putting it in a water proof case/zip-up bag. 3) Lunch at Top of the Baths. Slightly overpriced, but still good food and you get sizeable portions. There are options for vegetarians too, which is great. I ordered the Noodles Supreme and I recommend it. My partner had the veggie burger, which he enjoyed. 4) Boat ride to snorkeling spot. The crew provide you with flippers, masks, and a snorkel. The coral reef is beautiful and you'll get to see a lot of fish and a few big fish if you're lucky. This spot is great for snorkelers of all levels. For instance, I was pretty afraid at first, but once I was in the water, it was so clear and beautiful and I never felt unsafe. My partner is an advanced snorkeler and he loved going into the deeper areas. You do have the option of staying on the boat if you want to, but there is no beach at this point because you jump off the boat to get in to the water. You have about 40 mins to snorkel. 5) Boat ride to Soggy Dollar at Jost Van Dyke. This takes about 50 mins. 6) Soggy Dollar is a swim-up bar/beach...meaning there is no dock so you do have to jump off the boat to get to the beach. It's a short distance and the water is clear and there are tons of boats and swimmers so there is no reason to be worried or afraid. Soggy Dollar is a great place to get drinks and snacks. I would bring a water proof bag/zip-up so you can swim with your credit card in a bag on your wrist. 7) Boat ride back to St. John is about 30 mins. You'll dock at St. John and the whole group will get their passports back to go through customs. It actually goes by pretty quickly. 8) Boat ride back from St. John to St. Thomas at Sapphire Beach. Bring cash to tip the crew.

My husband and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary in St. John and decided to do this day trip. It was amazing! We really enjoyed the places we visited! Virgin Gorda was breathtaking as was our snorkeling! The crew was wonderful as well. Such an awesome trip to take if you happen to be visiting St. Thomas or St. John! Fun fun day!😎 💦

I definitely recommend this tour. The locations you visit are beautiful, the trip is a blast, and everything is well planned out. The crew is awesome and works to make your day special. They’re great at their jobs and are very thoughtful about how the day flows from where you take pictures to the music they’re playing. Virgin Gorda and The Baths are further out than Jost so it’s really special to make it out there.

The perfect day trip to see BVI... the Baths were incredible, the crew Bree, Brayson, Eduardo were fantastic. All around a very very fun day. Tips: The baths do require a little bit of hiking down, and climbing through some tight spots...not bad but something to be aware of. Don’t forget the $75 cash you need in addition to the cruise fee. Breakfast is light and lunch is early, there are some small snacks onboard during the day but it wouldn’t hurt to bring your own :)

    disappointing

FIRST OF ALL, the crew on this day trip was outstanding. They made sure everyone was comfortable. We were well fed during the day. Breakfast was muffins and fresh fruit (watermelon, cantalope, grapes)Later in the day we were served orange and pineapple slices. Of course after the snorkel portion of the trip, the "painkiller" drinks flowed non-stop, and they were delicious. I feel like the trip was misleading. The picture shows someone snorkeling at the Baths. There was no snorkeling there. However, there was a 1.5 hour hike down to the Baths and through the rocks. That portion of the hike was challenging, as we were lead up and down slippery rocks while crouching and holding on the ropes. Our friend that was with us is partially disabled, and could not do the hike, as it is over sandy rocks, so she ended up staying in the restaurant/bar. Lunch there was at your own expense. ($140 with tip for 4 adults, 1 drink each, and a sandwich) The next portion of the trip was snorkeling. We stopped at Diamond Reef, but did not stay because the area was full of other boats. So then we stopped at another area where we snorkeled by some rocks at shore. It was pretty disappointing. Saw very few fish. Our last stop was at Jost Van Dkye to see the Soggy Dollar Bar. We were dropped off in 6 feet of water about 100 yards from shore and had to swim in. Bring plastic bags for your money, credit cards. The bar itself was a joke. 15 minutes standing in line at both the bar and gift shop. The place seemed like a hangout for young adults looking to get intoxicated !!! Overall, this trip was pretty disappointing. I wouldn't do it again.

This was a long trip, which I like, because we saw so much and experienced so much. The three crew members were constantly working to serve us and make sure we had the best day possible. The Baths were very interesting and cruising along Tortola was beautiful. All 4 of us that traveled together thought this was a most worthwhile day and certainly got our money's worth.

Loved jost and virgin gorda! The staff is good. You spend the majority of time traveling to destination rather than being there. We are party of 4, we learned that we are financially better off chartering our own boat vs. doing this and being forced to follow crowd. Eat before you go, it's only little snacks all day.

We joined Captain Dave, Kate, and Julie on this excursion in January 2020 and we had a blast. The crew was awesome- fun, friendly, and safe. The boat was comfortable and had everything we needed for a fun day. The itinerary was a full one and we enjoyed each part of it. The Baths were amazing, as expected, but the snorkeling and stop at the Soggy Dollar were also really fun. The only thing I would flag for folks is that the breakfast is very light (e.g., muffin pieces and some fruit) so you may want to eat something before you hop on the boat or bring a snack. We did eat lunch early (before 11am), which was good but we were pretty hungry by then. Lunch at the top of the baths restaurant was really tasty and very well organized. Overall it was a top notch experience and I would highly recommend!
