Overview

Set sail on St Thomas' aquamarine waters during this 3-hour sailing excursion from Frenchman's Reef. Step aboard the 54-foot (16-meter) catamaran and meet your friendly captain and crew. Head for the serene waters of Buck Island National Wildlife Refuge, where you'll don the provided snorkeling gear and jump in to snorkel among the vibrant marine life. Snacks, pirate tattoos and unlimited drinks from the open bar are included.
  • 3-hour catamaran sail and snorkel adventure from Frenchman's Reef
  • Visit the uninhabited Buck Island National Wildlife Refuge
  • Use of snorkel, mask and flippers included
  • Snorkel among tropical fish, vibrant coral and grazing sea turtles
  • Snacks and unlimited open bar
Make your way to dock at the Marriott Frenchman's Reef to board the 54-foot (16-meter) 'Cat' for your 3-hour sailing and snorkeling excursion.

Find a comfortable spot on deck in the sun or shade. Meet the friendly captain and crew as you sail into the azure waters and watch the shoreline of St Thomas recede. On your way to the uninhabited Buck Island National Wildlife Refuge's Turtle Cove, get fitted for a snorkel, mask and flippers if you're interested in snorkeling. Alternatively, you can choose to lounge on board the boat or take a swim.

When you arrive at your destination, don your equipment and dive in. Admire multicolored coral reefs, inhabited by an abundance of tropical fish. Watch the Virgin Island's resident Green Sea Turtles gliding along, munching on the plentiful sea grasses.

After snorkeling, climb back on the catamaran for snacks and drinks - fruit and vegetables, water, a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic cocktails, wine and beer. Relax on the way back to the dock, enjoying the Caribbean sun and breeze.

Finish your tour after 3 hours and walk away with a complimentary pirate temporary tattoo to show for it.

Great trip! The captain and his crew were very polite and showed us all of the islands as we traveled to the bay to snorkel! If you like to drink this is also a trip for you. The open bar will have you stumbling by the time you get back to land.

A fun snorkeling adventure and boat party

Once you get over all the legal papers you have to sign and a rather chilly welcome, it definitely all picks up for the better. The snorkeling adventure is fun and easy, and geared for everyone to enjoy. Was a nice intro to the marine world of the usvi. The organizers also threw a fun party. Great music and drinks. A very nice experience!

This is a must do. PERFECT amount of time in the water. There was a ton to see and very informative. The Captain even slowed the boat down on the way back to have couple more cocktails. The Staff was fun and very professional.

What an AWESOME time!! The crew was so helpful and attentive, Turtle cove was gorgeous and not too busy! The bar on the way back was such an added bonus!! We got lucky as it didn't seem like a full trip, if there were more people it may have been different but we had around 20 or so people and that seemed perfect! I should have written the names of our guides down as I'm so forgetful, but we went on Feb 17th, 2020 so hopefully that helps for their recognition! The guys were amazing and set the bar high for the rest of the cruise! This was our first stop and it ended up being our favourite memory! Thanks so much, we hope to come back again!!

Almost nothing to see

Great crew. But the whole point of going on a turtle and fish snorkel trip is to see lots of animals. Our group saw two turtles and a few fish. This has been our experience on 3 different snorkeling excursions this trip in both the US and the British Virgin Islands. The reefs are gone or dead or not able to support life. Perhaps the hurricanes ruined the reefs or it’s the result of man-made damage. Bottom line? I won’t bother to snorkel in this part of the world again.

The crew was very polite and friendly. The main guy went out of his way to help me try to get a mask to fit my head.

St. Thomas was a stop on our cruise so I took my mom and son on this excursion. This crew was amazing. Very knowledgeable and super friendly. My son and I did the snorkeling and our guide was great. My mom stayed on the boat and had just as great of a time. I highly recommend this tour!
