Receive a morning pickup from your Cape Town region hotel, after which you’ll travel up South Africa’s N2 highway heading for the Cape lands region. In recent years the area has become known around the world for its top-notch wines, fascinating history, and growing gourmet food scene.
Start the trip in Stellenbosch, a historic town known for its shady, oak tree-lined streets and network of Dutch-style canals. You’ll have more time to “sample” the spectacular atmosphere of this unique town when you head to nearby Waterford Estate for your day’s first wine tasting.
After leaving Stellenbosch, proceed to Franschhoek, a city founded in the 17th century by South Africa’s French “Huguenot” settlers. Franschhoek is also known as an epicenter of the country’s gourmet food culture, and you’ll have time to stop here and sample the skills of the area’s expert chefs for lunch (own expense). Pair your tasty midday meal with a second wine tasting.
Finish the day by heading to Paarl, known as the Winelands’ main area for farming and its striking granite dome landscape. You’ll enjoy one final tasting session at a Paarl wine estate before heading back to Cape Town, where you’ll arrive at your hotel at 5:30pm.

This tour gave you a good sense of the Winelands region . I think it would be better to only visit two wineries. leaving time to drive through Paarl and more time in Stellenbosch or Paarl. Also, starting a half to three quarters of an hour earlier would make things less rushed.

Just a totally wine tasting tour, just tasting without much background on the winery and wine making process per se. Could have been made more interesting and educational. Except in the last winery, Anura, at least a little tour was included and the wine tasting more complete with the cheese and accompaniments.

It was a good tour with the three wine tastings as mentioned, but our tour did not include the visit to the farming village as mentioned in the description. We should have realized when booking the tour that early morning wine drinking was not for us other than that the tour was great.

This was an excellent tour which I highly recommend are guide was was very informative.
The only small complaint was that we were held up by people not being on time for pick up
which made us unable to do the boat trip as we didn't have time.
I think if people are not on time that's there problem and should not make the others unable to complete
there tour . The driver and tour guide should just go on with the ones who did have the manners to show up.

I had a wonderful day exploring the vineyards of South Africa with a great group led by our tour guide, Phillip. I particularly enjoyed exploring the lovely town of Stellenbosch. Tasting the wines of Remhoogte, looking over a panoramic view of the mountains and looking at the zebras and wildebeest in the valley, was a truly magical experience. Phillip was a wonderful guide, informative and interesting.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day and look forward to someday returning to a lovely part of the world.
